Who is Sandy (I don't thinkl I have met her yet)?

Anyway, Happy Birthday Sandy!!!!

What takes weeks or months to get ready for, I got 24 hours. 8 of which I slept. We leave at 3 today. That's the goal. That'll take us to the Nevada/CA state line tonight where we are staying at Buffalo Bills. Home of the biggest baddest roller coaster, the Desperado. The one roller coaster to ever scare the bettlejuice out of me.

We'll take off early and head to Anaheim and check in to this "hotel" (2 star, mind you) The Islander Inn and Suites (ironic name I assure you). We'll stay in the parks till closing.

Sunday, we'll go to the parks and have to leave a little after noon to drive straight through to home to make it back around 11PM ish. Monday is school and work.

We really want to go on that new Nemo ride. Anything else will be icing on the cake. MMMmmm....caaaake.

I'm doing what I rarely do. HAVING NO REAL GAME PLAN.


Now, driving with 3 children in that teeny weenie Toyota will be a TREAT. Norah's carseat takes up the whole middle of the back seat, leaving Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum not a lot of space. Ominous Foreboding feeling of dread

LilG- I can honestly and truly tell you Me in a green leaf would not be a good thing by any stretch of the imagination. Unless said leaf was a massive palm leaf from the Jurassic Period. August huh? This is lovingly called the Budget Board Trip. Pop Tarts, Cereal Bars, canned diet Pepsi, fruit, box of Triscuit and Wheat Thins and a can of spray cheese, fruit snacks....you get the picture. Avoiding dump shops at all cost. Blinders will be provided.

I rember those days of the small car and car seats - it was a dodge colt - 1 car seat, then 2 car seats, then 2 car seats and the oldest in the middle, then 1 car seat with one on each side. Those were the days. I remember taking a trip from Anaheim (where we lived) to visit my family in Astoria Oregon with the car seat in the middle and a kid on each side, wonderful memories!

You'll have to tell us about the roller coaster or better yet post a picture of it. I love roller coasters.

Sounds awesome Wendy! I expect a mini trippie. I need to live vicariously through someone, since I'm gettin' no Disney action.

We did a weekend trip like that one time. Of course it's only 3 hours to WDW for us. It was a really great time!

CONGRATULATIONS WOOHOOTY Isaac!! and Housemove!! And I think green will be perfect!! DS and fdil has that for their living room with cherry wood tables, armoire, and it looks really goog!!

Marita - I had a work-related meeting tonight. Didn't get home til close to midnight. I'm DISing via the batphone. Heading to bed now (yawnnnn).

My goog news is that I can count yesterday's time spent working from home!!!!!

GREAT pictures you've been posting LilG!! Thanks for sharing - I LOVE Christmas also, but no way will I fight the crowds and pay extra money for the privelige - so I'll live thru y'all too!!

we're off to a great start so far!! Mimosas and homemade waffles - of course dh just now left for work!!! Last night fdil found a loveseat/couch on craigslist and called and asked if I could bring the van and help her move it - how could I say no? WTH were we THINKING?? oh I know... great couch, brand new - dad said his mom bought it for the baby's room, and they never spent any time in there and his wife wanted real baby furniture!! roflol!! $200 - and its a Jenny Convertable - with tags on it!! but getting that thing down her stairs and into the room was... interesting!!

afterwards she took me out to dinner - Prime Rib - yummm!! I then gave her my birthday cake to take down to my sons (she's visiting them I always send down food it only seems right somebody should eat cake on my birthday!!)

Cy I'm a flit and a floater - but I've been around a couple of years!! Went to 2 Maelstrom meets!! I'm Sandy, (formerly eeyore45 if that helps!) I have 2 DS 22, 19, and a surprise dd 11 - live in IL - suburb of Chicago, I'm a lil bit crazy - to prove this I actually ran the half marathon - and I'm overweight and undertrained - but I DID IT!! and LOL fdil (my 22 yr olds fiance) keeps bragging to everyone - her mom calls me a hippy - roflol... I am crazy!!!

Nab did you make it to Ash Wed services? I didnt, felt bad, but when the police does the automatic emergency call telling residence NOT to drive due to blizzard, I felt I'd get special dispensation!! Thanks Lord!! 39 days left? 38??

On the color front, my bedroom is a nice warm green that hopefully will go well with our dark furniture and linens, so says my decorator friend. Scarily all I could think of that first day that it was still wet and glowing, was it looked awfully DIS(sy).

Moornin' Moovers. Or afternoon for most. I've not been sleeping, and am off today, and somehow I managed to sleep in. Way in. The sun woke me up at 7, took a quick trip down the hall, and was back asleep by 7:05. Crawled out at 10:30. So tonight, I'll prolly by up all night. That's life.
Uma, I'm so jealous. I haven't been to Disneyland since '92. Gotta get back there and see Mr. Toad! Looks like WDW this year, though, so that's fine.
LilG's pictures have me stoked for a close to Christmas trip. Didja know the first MVMCP was the day after F&W last year? Wonder if that will happen again.

Believe it or not, our super spontaneous Budget Board Trip is thus far going off without a hitch.

Leaving my DS18 with food and a clean house. He has to work and go to school so don't feel sorry for him. I gave him "the lecture", which is an endless blathering which he only heard "Whu Wha...wu wha wha, WHU WHAA," a la Peanuts grown ups.

Tire pressure, brake fluid, washer fluid, gassed up, new swishy-shwasher blades, fabreezed the work-smell out, snacks, DRINKS...so I'll have to stop at EVERY SINGLE rest stop or gas station. DH just LOVES having to stop for trivial matters such as exploding bladders and kids passing out with hunger. I'm surprised he hasn't suggested I sport a Depends Undergarment See, it's naturally a CONTEST to beat last year's time. I wasn't born with that gene or chromosone.

Hoodies is all we'll need, people! We're leaving the gloves, mittens, snow boots, wool scarves home! And hope we don't need to gas up till St. George where it's in the 40-50's which will feel like summer at the Bahamas.

Looks like I might be spending the evening at the hospital. My sister is having pretty regular contractions. As close as 3 minutes apart while on a walk. While uncomfortable they are not realy painful. When she can't carry on a conversation during them it'll be time to go to the hospital. I hope this is the real thing. She's already 4cm and 80%. So I suspect she'll go as fast as me. Yay!!!!

No school here in the Midwest. "Professional" development day- which is teacher for eat doughnuts, sit in meetings and be glad the lil' rugrats are not around.

Speaking of rugrats- one twinkie twin is now available. Free to a good home. She may have liberated from a friends desk some cute lil' heart erasers and pencils meant for the class party goodie bag and passed them out to her friends on the bus. She then may have covered up the crime by saying "Austin" gave her the leftover erasers as her Valentine. She NEEDs a good lawyer. Should I be happy that she is a generous theif? Parenting is alot harder than it looks.

Waiting for the "head of the household" to hurry the heck up and get home. Course he'll stank like man-work and will be required to shower.
NO one can say I wasn't completely ready, including sippy cup filled and in drink holder. PNDQ tally ready . Quigibo, Quadroped, Quadrunner I-spy-eyes are at the ready.

Can I go on record as saying I wish it was a nice big Boeing 747 we were boarding for an uneventful hour and a half flight. I am marginally optimistic as to the outcome of this trek. <me
