Marita I never heard of it either and I mentioned it to my mom today on the phone and she said it is done just before Lent, guess they usually do it during the week and that is why I never saw it done either. They hold to long candles ( not lit of course) on each side of your throat and they say a blessing.

Allie-- how old were the boys... Haven't any hair colouring done yet.

Nicholas is growing his hair longer. The lady at the hair cutting called it a skateboarder hair cut.

NAB, Biggest Loser probably (no, surely) is a repeat. Actually, they have 4 hours listed in my guide, from 7-11pm. But seeing I rarely watch it (or I may have it on but not pay attention), it's new to me.

we are not into football either.......so right now we are watching the MythBusters Marathon.....some of the stuff they do is unbelievable...

For supper we are having an eye of the round roast, with carrots and potatoes.....I can hardly wait.....the meat smells so darn good.......My mouth is drooling......

Marita.......if you lived up here all you would have to do is take the NOT to non perishables and put it out on the back porch....cold enough ....well maybe colder then the fridge.......but the celery and oranges and stuff like that could go outside........

Still have not returned the pressure cooker and doubt I will today.

BUT!!!!!!!!!! I am watching the History channel: History of the Bun, and they are showing cheeseburgers and fries, so that is looking really good right now. Not that I will actually leave the house to get one.... But A Big Mac or the Burger King whatever they call their version sure sounds good about now....


Oh I just thought of a funny remark from knitfreak on Friday. She and the boss and I were talking, I said something about being able to park in the normal lot (instead of east Egypt) because the security guard let me. I mentioned something about how I would have gotten the roast beef sandwich on the way for lunch IF I had to park there. Boss said why?????

So knitfreak answered for me: Because it was almost on the way, and I would not have to walk so long to get one. Correct answer

Then she said, Marita is like an open book, once you read the first few chapters, the know how it ends

..if i had the powers....make it illegal..to "run"...past interviews..of any
deceased..or any "new" translations from those past interviews,...to the
media. [ while it may not effect the deceased...it does effect their
families' & recovery/coping to resume day to day living...esp,. when there
are children involved. ] to me, what an awful way to make $$$, by conjuring
up...scandals..when there were none before. & leave the kid/s alone!

instead..why aren't they...investigating..that so call donations chief...who
been "stealing"..monies..that were doanted for our iraq war veterans.
how could anybody justified..using any of that monies..on club memberships,
vacations..& so on? ..& what up with this actor..not paying his
taxes...??? * if he earned..money in this country..then its cut & dry!

What? Is the Supper Bowl TODAY?!

Seems like only yesterday Wen-dee and I were putting together our FAB Supper Bowl outfits using only items in our vehicles. This year I am a sure thing to win since I can make a hoop skirt out of my stroller cover.

Mr. Twinks has the flu. So in time honored guy tradition he is sleeping/watching TV/reading ALONE while I handle the kids and make homemade chicken-n-rice soup. He is really sick- I hope none of the rest of us get it.

Also it HAILED here today. Hail yes. It did.

I don't think you should get all overconfident with your stroller cover, Missy. I have laminated road maps, a slightly soiled roll of duck-tape, some twine, 4 Walmart bags, and a dog blanket for warmth. I could McGyver something not only functional and warm, but also "America's Top Model" worthy.

Wendy - Your Norah looks so grown up with that straight hair. Did you do it with the Hannah Montana hair kit? We had two BOYS come into preschool this week with colored hair. When we asked, they said that their sisters got the Hannah Montana kits and tried them out on them! It was too funny to see the boys with colored glittered hair. I just can't believe that they SAT there and LET them do that.

Oh, and DH and I got Jackson Browne tickets last night! I know some of the young whippersnappers of this thread may be doing this right now. They went on sale Friday, and they were already back to row X when we bought ours! It really doesn't matter 'cause it's not a big auditorium, so any seat would be good. DH would have rather been closer, but he is so excited about getting to go.

Whuuut? A kit? I just used Aqua Net and craft glitter. Which was not easy to shampoo out today, I tell you what.

My boys would not sit still for anyone to glam up their hair. For the record!
