WENDY, Look whatI just found on a Pre-trip report by DisneyAddicted (dated May 2007):
I have learned from these trip reports, the do's and don'ts the in's and out's the up's and down's even the roundabout's. I am a smarter vacation planner thanks to so many at the Dis.
I have learned from DisUnc the importance of a clip board, 4 ladies and one bathroom? I just know that holding a clipboard is going to make the delegating of shower/sink usage flow ever so smooth.
I have learned from UtahMama (even though she never did acknowledge my admiration for her Disney skills) the importance of manipulation. I even practice saying infront of the mirror "Do you know who you're talking to?"
I am thinking about incorporating a mini recorder (or somthing that looks close to one) into my routine. If my authority as a tourist is questioned or met with hostility, I will pull out my fake recorder and mumble into it while shooting eye daggers. Depending on the degree of the infraction commited by the perpetrator will decide the level of manipulation I will use to instill FEAR into said perp.
sidenote On my last vacation I was never met with hostility or grumpiness from any CM and I am hoping for a repeat, but just incase
I need to be ready for any and all.
DebIreland, aaah dear precious DEb, from whom I have learned the most important lesson of all Disney planning trips. Try and just go with the flow, even if I have to schedule it in to my daily color coded breakdown of time allotments for rides, food, parades, shows and swimming. (you kill me Deb) I will schedule downtime, and I will NOT feel guilty about doing so.![]()
Without the DisBoards, Professor DisUnc, Disney Guru UtahMama, and Dr. DebIreland, this next trip of mine might have been doomed. Thank you to everyone who shares their TR's, plus I now know that if I'm crazy, so are all of you and being crazy about Disney really isn't so bad, aint? <--![]()
