Goog evening. We finally have our Internet back!!! And I was out for dinner with friends, so I am just now getting caught up. Amazing how out of touch it can make you feel.

Today 3 people told me I look thinner! I have lost 20 pounds since Christmas! I'm pretty stoked! Too bad I have so much more to lose....

I live on 22 acres.; Our next "door" neighbor has hundreds and hundreds.
And lots of cows.
Billy Ray and miley have a house about a half a mile "as the crow flies" and also have hundreds of acres.
I live in a VERY rural part - but Kroger, starbucks, applebees and Publix are all 6 to 8 minutes away.
We get two pizza deliveries - dominos and snappy tomato.
Pizza hut can't find us
we do not have cable on our road.
we DO have city water.
which we didn't have when I was growing up.
It's 45 minutes to Nashvegas.
Sometimes less.
This morning, Lisa and I made it to work and even inside the building in 40 minutes. It just depends on traffic.

I listen to Off Kilter CDs all the time. My fave is the Live Tracks CD, but I am really enjoying their newest one that I got for Christmas, Kick It!

Another frigging forecast, but I finished earlier, had some dinner, closed my eyes for a few minutes just sitting on the couch, and woke up an hour later!!!!! Rarely do that during the week.

My son, who came over earlier, was still here, watching TV. So I said to him:
"Why are you here, shouldn't you be out partying, it's Friday night" Kidding about the partying, not about the Friday night.

He says "Mom, you retard (in a loving way, of course), it's Wednesday, you have 2 more days of work!!!!!!!!"

I'm probably not going to be around tomorrow night due to a work-related meeting. Or I may decide to bow out if the weather is really crappy tomorrow, since it's not mandatory. It is still pretty windy here but not as bad as the past couple nights. There were tons of schools canceled today. L, that was great that your boss sprang for lunch and didn't join you. I was glad to have worn a sweater to work today.

If you live out in the boonies, it might take a while to get cable for internet. Why don't you just get a second phone line installed for cable? Slower, but it works.
