I live on 22 acres.; Our next "door" neighbor has hundreds and hundreds.
And lots of cows.
Billy Ray and miley have a house about a half a mile "as the crow flies" and also have hundreds of acres.
I live in a VERY rural part - but Kroger, starbucks, applebees and Publix are all 6 to 8 minutes away.
We get two pizza deliveries - dominos and snappy tomato.
Pizza hut can't find us
we do not have cable on our road.
we DO have city water.
which we didn't have when I was growing up.
It's 45 minutes to Nashvegas.
Sometimes less.
This morning, Lisa and I made it to work and even inside the building in 40 minutes. It just depends on traffic.

WHERE do you live Celery? With who(m)?

Is NashVegas a real place? Sounds like a short AT&T commercial.

Who's Lisa?

Please number your responses. I'm nosy and organized.

1. Super secret ninja location! Duh! (In a trailer on my parent's land. I own the trailer. well, me plus the bank)

2. With my brother (Jamie) and his friend Eric.

3. NashVegas - Eat more rhinestones! There are real bumpah stickah's for it. :confused3 ;) It's a knickname for Nashville, in case you didn't get it.

4. One of my friends/coworkers that I carpool with now.

Nosy? Yes. Organized? Hmmm. Let me see that craft room!

:goodvibes

:lmao:

LOVE YOU WINDY LOU!

1. I have to pipe up in defense of Mr. Quayle. I mean if your name was "Quayle" wouldn't you think the rules of spellun were optional?

2. Tee hee. I am not fluent in this lingo. Maybe I need to read more bumpah stickahs.

3. Yesterday was Kansas day and I have solved the mystery of the sugar cookies.... they were in the SHAPE of Kansas. They also wore "prairie" clothes and made butter (that is buttah, L).

1. I stand resurrected. lol

2. You can learn a lot when you read the back of Lynette's minivan...just sayin

3. :headache: of course. perfectly logical?

DING! DING! DING!

Thanks for this useful post.

Today 3 people told me I look thinner! I have lost 20 pounds since Christmas! I'm pretty stoked!

That's great Bonnie. I'm happy for you.

BBN, sorry about Ethan. Didn't mean to wake him up. But that wind was whipping me around sumpn fierce! :rolleyes1

See y'all later. :wave2:

Next time tie yourself to the side of the barn.

I feel like I live in Mamacan'tfindya!

:scared1:

Yay Bonnie! That's amazing.

5 more days and you'll be in my favorite place.

Ok, I have to admit something here, I'm rereading the twilight series. don't tell anyone!

I know! Five days, I can't believe the meet is finally almost here!

I still have not finished reading Eclipse! It's really good, but I don't have much of an attention span these days! What's up with that? Enjoy rereading the series though! It is GREAT. Can't wait for the movie.

wendy lou - that's WT's version of my day. Which is pretty steenkin hilarious.
Cuz it's true! :rotfl2:

:rotfl2:

Nothin new to report here - I started a thread because my jaw is still on the floor from yesterday -

dd teacher told dd she could not read the DaVinci code in school... the teacher made a point to say "she wasnt banning the book..." DD wanted to know what the difference was!! :rotfl2: Young whippersnapper that she is!!

so I started a thread, I keep forgeting you dont get discussions about other books that could be banned, you get a debate...

any more?

(and I'm sure a poster will swoop in and tell me I"m a horrible mother for allowing dd to read such adult material!!)

Yeah, I thought something was fishy when I saw the sentences had more than 3-5 words in them :rotfl2:

I was thinking (to myself) "Boy, what a quality guy to thaw a Dr. Pepper with a lighter" when clearly he should have microwaved it on HIGH for 6 minutes.

:rotfl2:

Owensboro, right?

I will see your Mr. Depp and raise you a Mr. Mellencamp AND a Mr. Letterman AND a Mr. James Dean and a Mr. Quayle. uhhhhh. can i retract the last one? If ever anybody needed a lesson from the spellun king, it would be him.

Hope you are unscathed from this crazy windy weather!

Me. duh. And I will agree that it is a smidge, a bit, a tad, a dab, a dollop more disturbing than it usually is.

Hey! I learned that term from YOUR bumpah stickah.:rolleyes1

Morning Moovers. I have a really busy day. You guys keep your noses clean.
Let's see, we got George Clooney and his Aunt Rosemary, All them Judd gals, The Greatest, the Colonel(feeling hungry?), and both presidents during the Civil War. Not to mention my more well known twin, Hillbilly Jim.

The thump last night was a garbage can lid that hit about a foot from the only window on that side. Picked several hundred pounds of branches out of the yard this afternoon. No damage, thankfully.
Hoping to pick up some ot this weekend. Our weakest link at work may have broken, and I'll gladly pick up hours to be rid of him. Besides, I like being the only guy in the department. Time to get my game face on, not to mention clean up for tonight's game. I'll finish the trip home later this week, prolly tomorrow.

scared the you know what out of me......sitting here all by myself with the wind a howling and rain pelting the windows.......hubby went to home depot to get some molding for the wall upstairs.....so anywhoooooo I am sitting here minding my own business when on IM someones door opens up and made a horrible noise....scared me I can tell you that......I had the volumn up cause I was listening to Off Kilter and Meatloaf and Fleetwood Mac.....so forgot about that....phewwwwwwww.......be still my heart.scared me I can tell you that....

Uuuuh, we got She-Daisy (Country music's Sweet Hearts), the Osmonds, Steve Young of the niners, Merle Olsen of Little House fame, and what's her name.

I completely don't understand the whole last paragraph. Well, I gleaned some sort of weather aftermath. Game? Doofus employee? I suggest giving him a wedgie. It's all you can do at this point.

I'm hoping I just made you say, "HUH?????" and scratch your head.

I can do a woooooooo hoooty here i think......now one hundred to go......I really dont talk that much honest:hippie:

Last edited by DonaldTDuck : Today at 05:46 PM. Reason: quik quiz, which 2 Kentuckians were key to integrating baseball?

Pee Wee Reese came to me easy breezy, but then I had to think for a second. Who was another Kentuckian that was key to integrating baseball? I even asked my dh (who was of no help.)

I literally closed my eyes and tried to remember my dad driving us through LouUhVull telling us about Pee Wee Reese and trying to think of a name to go with the story. I respectfully submit my answer.

Happy Chandler, right? please, please, please say I made my dad proud. If I'm wrong don't tell me, k? If I'm right...well, you can shout it from the rooftops. lol

Moo Hooty Pumba on 18,900 posts!!!

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

1. The BBN is full of baloney, Twink. There are no bumpah stickahs in the Greater Boston area. That's how we spot the outta-townahs. :thumbsup2

2. Yes, buttah.....as opposed to maaaahgerine.

You can learn a lot when you read the back of Lynette's minivan...just sayin

1. See above post #1.

2. Is that any way to treat me after all this time? Harumph.

I am this guy tonight: :woohoo: because LOST is finally on (yeah, yeah...I know it's only a replay of last season's finale, but I still love it!).

Allow me to help a friend in need. Here is a shot of my little piece of Heaven. Some of y'all have seen it, some have not. But I know it will bring a smile to PJ and Snarkgirls faces since they feel it necessary to camp out in the game room and underneath the kitchen window respectively. AND maybe it will remind us that spring is just around the corner? Kinda sorta?

I think I see Mocha over yonder on that trampoline and just a bit over thar is the Darth Vader target. And, of course we can't forget, just a bit to the left, under the window you can't see, is BigL. Waiting for a ride. Waiting, waiting, always waiting. Such a goog stalker. Yes folks, it's true, that really is crazynurse ranch.
p.s. thanks. ;)

1. PJ are those kids still being on their best behavior??

2. Marita I'm thinking of applying for snowbird status - its just June, July, August, Sept, parts of August... and then, no pretty Fall leaves... oh, and no first snowfall of winters... hmmm I probably would be denied!!
1. Always.

2. Go seasonal at Chef Mickey's.

Yesterday was Kansas day and I have solved the mystery of the sugar cookies.... they were in the SHAPE of Kansas. They also wore "prairie" clothes and made butter (that is buttah, L).
Thank you for that useful post. I was really struggling lately. It's been really hard, actually. I'll be able to sleep now that I've had that clarified. (TMbbn)

Loving the new signature, Cel, it's so perfect!!! I guess that WT can be a little funny.

WOO HOOTY, Pumba!! :dance3: :cheer2:
