MOOved Along . . .

One of my fave chick flicks is The American President, especially some of the President's daughter's lines:

WHY does that not surprise me?!! Do you get to work from home? And I'm sure Twinkie (and the rest of us) would like to know whether you went to Math Camp

You SHOULD duck, buddy!!! I hope you got your DW something to go along with the lawnmower. I subscribe to Wendy's method and haven't mowed a lawn since I was in college :rolleyes1
1. Uh oh. I HAVE seen that movie. :guilty:
2. If I don't have meetings scheduled that day that require my presence in the office, I can work from home on an exception basis such as bad snowy days, days that the kids are home ill, etc.
3. Hmmm, doubtful. She was the only one with a real, career-like, much above minimum wage, job at the time. Come to think of it, I probably used her money to buy it since that first year was pretty much all her money.

Geez I must be the only one that likes to mow the lawn. :confused3

And shovel snow. Mind you this was a really crappy winter and I was tired of seeing the stuff.
1. and 2. Actually, Nab, I don't mind mowing the lawn and I enjoy shoveling snow unless more snow is blowing in my face while I'm trying to do it.

The reality is that we moved into our new house (and first house) about one month before our first wedding anniversary and we needed the lawn mower because we now owned a lawn for the first time. The first few years of marriage I did mow the lawn, but then she went on the night shift at work and she always had it mowed during the day before I got home from working the day shift. Now, as I said, we've got two boys old enough to do it so she usually puts them to work on it.

BTW: She had a job and I didn't because she was older (is old -- she is in her 40s!) and a college grad and thus able to get a real job and I was still a college student.

:scared: Perhaps your odd food proclivities are better left under wraps? Just a thought.

Odd? That's not odd!

ETA: I meant if the pudding was warm. I admit a warm Twinkie would be odd.

Well, if we're going that route, perhaps Rob just doesn't need to share anything at all here anymore. Just a thought.

Okay, ladies and germs, I have to go make lunches for Boris and Natasha, and then I'm off to dreamland. This working for a living really cuts into my DIS time. Harumph.

See you on the flip side, y'all!

Nah, she robbed the cradle. At least, that is what I always tell her (though she is only 19 months older than me). I was but a young innocent boy that she seduced. :rolleyes1

Who made the old lady mow the lawn.........

I have nothing entertaining to say. I just wanted to beat Lexy!

Good Morning Mooovers!

Good luck with the phone interview PJ. I hope MP is having a goog day.

GOOD MORNING! :sunny:

I see there was a late night posting frenzy again last night. I'm back to early bedtime now that school's in session.

Had to go to the student/parent meeting for Mimi's senior trip last night. They have many clever ways of keeping up with teenagers and making sure they stay in their hotel rooms. Heh, heh. Anyway the trip is to NYC and Mimi has never been so she's very excited.

She also got a new Iphone yesterday that her boyfriend sent her in the mail. (He's on an extended stay in Oregon. His band is recording a CD?) Lets hope he buys her a laptop for graduation. ;)

Rob....I am envisioning you inside the air-conditioned house watching Cary Grant movies and eating warm chocolate pudding w/ twinkies while your poor, old wife is out schlepping around the yard with the mower you bought her for her anniversary 20ish years ago. :sad2: Our deal here is that I cut the grass in the front yard and he cuts the grass in the backyard but when the backyard grass gets so tall in the back that I can only see the top of DS's head, I have to cut that grass too. So it's mostly just me...is what I'm sayin.

PJ....Good luck with the phone interviews! I can totally see you with a pink, scented resume! Gives it a little something extra. ;)

GDaddy....Goog to see ya! :wave2:

BNCG....I'm sorry, honey. Here's your very own salutation...not one of those nasty shared greetings. :wave2: RE: your earlier post about WT's list, the phrase "I'm more of a man than you'll ever be and more of a woman than you'll ever get" comes to mind. I mean that in a goog way.

Cel....Stay away from the bad boys! RE: your AK-alone day...I still remember the girls saying...."Didn't you see Celery? She just passed us!" Be glad you weren't with us that morning. DS was in a very rotten mood right up until the time we saw the Utah boys at Flame Tree. I STILL want to know what happened to the pictures of that meet? Anybody?

Moo....I LOVE the American President! It's one I could watch over and over.

Wendee....My cryingest moment in movie history is when that woman puts her children to bed on the Titanic! And at the end of The Color Purple. And during Lorenzo's Oil when she tells him to fly to the baby Jesus. Oh...who am I kidding...I cry at least once during nearly every movie.

Lynette....I know what you mean about blinking and the day is gone. Now it's time for me to make the lunches. I have to do it in the morning since I put cheese sticks and frozen go-gurt in it.

Twink, Marita, DTD, Monica, Pumba, et al
....:wave2:

WHERE'S LIL G??????

HAVE A GOOD WEDNESDAY, EVERYONE!

I got DW a lawn mower for our first wedding anniversary -- seemed only fair since she was the one who uses it. :duck:

-- Rob

And you are still married??????

Maybe you should make sure she never disses.

Don't you know that we always have snow in Canada and live in igloos ...:lmao:

Hi Nab! That was funny. I'm leaving that alone.

When I was working on my resume the other week I kept thinking of when Elle Woods wrote her resume and then had to explain to everyone that she printed it on pink, scented paper to impress the Harvard people. :rotfl: I totally should have done that!

And I have never mowed the lawn nor do I ever plan to. :snooty:

Cel
: Drive around the Brentwood/Nashville area tomorrow thinking happy thoughts. I have phone interviews with schools in both of those areas in the afternoon. Got it?

Just make sure yours has an arabian night theme.
Oh and good luck with the phone interviews.

Odd? That's not odd!

ETA: I meant if the pudding was warm. I admit a warm Twinkie would be odd.

Oh that's totally normal now!

That makes us Michigan people not look so strange.

good luck to peej! (Not that you need it cuz you're gonna be the best twinkessori teacher ever!!!! ;) )

melinda - I just can't picture your son being grumpy! he seemed so sweet.

everyone else - Hi!

Now I feel old. Whatever happened to expressing your undying devotion with a nice mix tape?

My very own salutation. I feel special! lol

I think they went the way of parachute pants, leg warmers, and "state fair" hair.;)

 everybody.

Long time no see GoDaddy. I saw the Tennesse gals won their NCAA championship. I'm sure the state is proud.

Good style, precious young thing you. She made you her pet! ;)

I wanted to clarify, I MAY even like mowing, but at this point, it's the principle of the thing.

And I "went there" on your twinkie comment, :upsidedow as always.
