Moore's 'Fahrenheit 9/11' wins Cannes award

I'll see it because I want to see what all the fuss is about.

I will not be seeing it. I have had about enough of him. I have seen his other films, and the problem I have is that they are hugely inaccurate. Unfortunately, many see the film and take his word on alot of this stuff, and form decisions based on his inaccuracies and HEAVY spin. I think it's too bad that yet again many will be misinformed...

Don't forget he is very creative with his editing as well. I don't doubt there are some unhappy troops there, but his view and his interviews just don't represent the full story. Sorry!

Yes, I want to see it, not sure when it's coming out though!:D

You mentioned the Jaques Cousteau documentary. I'm a collector his books. He's one of my all time favorite idols.:sunny:

As far as that article, I didn't find it really backed up accusations with proof of their finds. I also find that ending an article that is supposed to show how unprofessional Michael Moore is with how he should go on Jenny Craig is a little funny. Is this the Jenny Jones show for Republicans?

As far as terrorists being responsible for 9/11. I agree. I just wish Bush agreed and spent more of our military efforts on finding who actually performed 9/11.

My husband reminded me that a couple of his work friends are in this film. They are big war protestors, and they went to the movie opening in NY. Now, I can't wait to see it.

Here is another interesting web site that pokes some pretty big holes through Michael Moore. Too many lies, too much staged stuff...just not trustworthy, nor do I think his films should be called 'documentaries' since they are based on little fact.

I also think the Jenny Craig comment is harmless, in comparison to the petty comments John Kerry keeps making about Bush (i.e. training wheels on his bike, etc.). Lots of integrity coming from a Presidiential candidate....

This is a Rush Limbaugh fan website, and they're making fun of Michael Moore's weight? I don't get it.

Sorry, I just don't get the entertainment value of watching a bunch of lies and misrepresentations. Of course, everybody is free to go out and watch the film, I just want people to be aware before they come to any conclusions based on Michael Moore's hugely false tugging at the heartstrings, that they understand it isn't all that meets the eye.

I don't think Rush Limbaugh's web site is the point here...

But you like Rush Limbaugh?

ACK..I cant stand Rush Limbaugh....

I suppose people are going to believe what they want and if they don't like what Michael Moore is saying they will certainly like Rush's site... but BOY I sure felt like I was reading a copy of the Enquirer.

Anyone want to hazard a guess as to how many more posts it will take to get this topic either 1) moved to the debate board, or 2) removed entirely?

The "Party of Two Sitting at a Table for Six" post will go down first. ;)

You're probably right! I just went back and caught up on that one, and it's getting pretty hot over there!

Personally I can't wait to see it.

I think in a society like ours we need to take both sides stances with a HEAP of salt.

Do you really think that a website called "patriots for Bush" is really the end all, be all of truth. Of course not.

And I am sure that there is some creative editing in Moore's films but he brings up some great points to really think about.

It also make me nuts when people make a judgement about something before they see it for themselves. If you see it yourself and hate it..so be it but don't just jump on someone else's bandwagon.

The more thinking that goes on in this country the BETTER!
