Didn't see this posted anywhere but did others see these new events? At AK, Epoct, and Typhoon Lagoon. It has the dates listed as well.

Seems like they did take feedback to heart on posting this info earlier. :thumbsup2

I'm thrilled! Do have to tweak a bit, I bet others are too!

Bobbi:)

Totes freaking out! We are going in September and were only planning on staying at SSR and not doing WDW parks...instead going to SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, Discovery Cove. However NOW we can get our Disney fix and do the AK event!! We did it last year but it rained so hard that night we didn't get to enjoy it. Plus now we'll hopefully get to see Pandora!

We were on that rainy night too! That's the stay I will have to extend to get to do it again.

It was hilariously miserable that night LOL! Had it just been Dh and I we would have thrown caution to the wind and run around like kids in the rain, but we had my parents with us and they were not having ANY of it. They were miserable on the character wait lines. The safari was awful...saw no animals in the dark/rain. We couldn't find the food locations because they moved them all indoors but didn't announce it. We couldn't even enjoy the Tree of Life awakening because it was pouring so hard. My mom looked like she was ready to throttle someone...like me!

Here's to hoping for a dry, warm happy night in 2017!

Watching.
I forgot . . . what were the details of the previous ones?
I believe DVC members were allowed in before the official start, snacks included Mickey ice cream bars, and there was special entertainment?

For us, the Safari was a hit! The male lion was standing and we saw lots of animals moving.
I was with 4 friends, 2 gave up after dinner at Tiffons, so except for dinner all they're did was get wet. The other 2 and I went to Bugs Life. No treats, did see the tree awaken.

Personally I'm hoping for River of Life! We had seen The Jungle Book at AK and enjoyed it more than many, so I want to see the real deal!

Do these events typically book up quickly once reservations open up? I'm considering one of the Epcot events in December.

No, not really. They have a pretty large attendance number it seems.

The exception last year was the California Adventure event. That booked up in a day or two, and my sister went and said it was very crowded. I was disappointed to hear about hour waits for rides. That doesn't sound like a special event! Maybe with doing multiple nights, it won't be so bad.

So excited for the Typhoon Lagoon one! Does anyone know when we can expect booking to open up?

I don't think the first west coast event compares to the Epcot one though. Even if it took a couple of days to book that's like eons for a free Disney event! :rotfl:

I just called MS and they said March 3 MK event is sold out.

This wasn't the first announcement of the MK events though. They were announced at the end of Oct and they started booking that December 1, 2016. There was a post during the last day or two of December from someone who had just booked one of those dates. Yours is the first report I've seen that it's sold out so it took over a month to fill up.

With 4 trips last year I missed every event. So with 4 trips planned for 2017, a little shocked again that I missed every date again. Boy I don't chose wisely. So the other day I told DH I think I'm booking a 5th trip just in case we decide to attend the TL event. Surprised to log on and see a BWV standard studio available for the week I wanted....guess I'll decide later if we'll keep it.

We don't know any registration dates except for the ones already sold out in February and March.

Does anyone have any idea what they will do with Epcot's Moonlight event? Do you think it will only be Future World that will be open? I hope all of the attractions will be open. But I highly doubt that the WS will be.

I think it would be fairly easy for them to have both Mexico and Norway rides open too.

My guess is that at least Frozen will be open in WS. Hope so, since so many want to experience it without a long wait in a stand-by line. I wasn't crazy about needing to use a Tier 1 FP+ for it and won't do that again, now that I've done it.
