We were on that rainy night too! That's the stay I will have to extend to get to do it again.Totes freaking out! We are going in September and were only planning on staying at SSR and not doing WDW parks...instead going to SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, Discovery Cove. However NOW we can get our Disney fix and do the AK event!! We did it last year but it rained so hard that night we didn't get to enjoy it. Plus now we'll hopefully get to see Pandora!

For us, the Safari was a hit! The male lion was standing and we saw lots of animals moving. It was hilariously miserable that night LOL! Had it just been Dh and I we would have thrown caution to the wind and run around like kids in the rain, but we had my parents with us and they were not having ANY of it. They were miserable on the character wait lines. The safari was awful...saw no animals in the dark/rain. We couldn't find the food locations because they moved them all indoors but didn't announce it. We couldn't even enjoy the Tree of Life awakening because it was pouring so hard. My mom looked like she was ready to throttle someone...like me!
Here's to hoping for a dry, warm happy night in 2017!
Do these events typically book up quickly once reservations open up? I'm considering one of the Epcot events in December.

No, not really. They have a pretty large attendance number it seems.
The exception last year was the California Adventure event. That booked up in a day or two, and my sister went and said it was very crowded. I was disappointed to hear about hour waits for rides. That doesn't sound like a special event! Maybe with doing multiple nights, it won't be so bad.
I just called MS and they said March 3 MK event is sold out.Do these events typically book up quickly once reservations open up? I'm considering one of the Epcot events in December.

We don't know any registration dates except for the ones already sold out in February and March.
Does anyone have any idea what they will do with Epcot's Moonlight event? Do you think it will only be Future World that will be open? I hope all of the attractions will be open. But I highly doubt that the WS will be.
