Moonlight magic registration

I had 9678 on my phone and got in for December! My IPad always gets the lowest number. I am at the airport and was running it off my phone and got 768 and got in for October!
See you at AK!
How smart is Disney to release all these MM events right before the Poly goes on sale? Good way to drive direct purchases!
LOL, but I thought you had to already have a ressie for today's registration.

Yes, but there are more in 2025. I think it just promotes a desire to have a blue card :)

I think it helps too. There’s alot of excitement around Moonlight Magic. If new buyers want in on the action, direct is the way.

Resale is great and serves its purpose. Direct can be a great deal too though. MM and the lounges, APs and other events show how owners get more mileage out of direct. More magic:smickey:

I was so worried with my three sets of numbers and none were as high as yours. Closest was 8200 something.
My lowest was 1270 so I assumed I was good. But good to know 9409 would have made it as well.

I'm feeling pretty lucky since we just became members less than three weeks ago that we got a Welcome Home stay in October, Disney announced MM for the week we are there, and we got the MM reservation. A triple winner!

Please help me understand something. We are direct and resale members, on separate memberships. We’ve attended MM before and must have always used our direct membership, I feel like even when we were staying on the resale points. This time when I put in our direct membership number in it said we had no reservation. Tried on the second device when it came time and put in the resale member number, of which this Dec stay is using those points. It allowed us to get the MM reservation based on that membership, which I thought it wouldn’t allow.

Does the system somehow recognize we are eligible through our other direct membership, or am I wrong that MM is only for direct members?

I had #29 when it went live. I don't think I've ever had a number that low. Got in for AK for 9 people. Very excited.

Where are you staying? We are at BWVs and so excited. I have never been to a MM before (I've paid to go after hours).
I'm hoping it won't be too crowded.

Your second try is how I heard Moonlight Magic works currently. You have to use the Membership number your reservation is booked on and the system will know if you have another membership that qualifies and tie them together. I guess that’s because all Disney accounts tie into the same email, etc.

Glad you got it work!

Fortunately we were staying on direct points this trip but I’ve been paying close attention to this detail in case we’re on our resale points next try.

Thanks, that’s good to know! We had a MM reservation back in Sept ‘22 that I’m almost certain was on the same resale points as this one, but I looked and it shows I registered for the MM using our direct membership. I tried to go back in my points history but I couldn’t go back far enough to verify. That MM ended up getting canceled because of a hurricane passing right over WDW, so we got out a day early and of course didn’t go to that one.

Either way, another good reason to have multiple devices trying though, as it wouldn’t let me go back when I entered in the wrong member number. Thankfully I had another device about 700 numbers behind it for a backup.

The system knows you have a qualified membership

In for 11/21 AK. Started at 4778 & able to register with about a 25 minute wait. This will be our 1st MM at AK. Didn’t even know it was happening until I got the email yesterday.

Been to quite a few MMS at the other 3 parks since the year they started. Have seen them get more & more crowded—long waits to get in, enormous character lines, waits for rides, less & worse snacks. Probably worth it but we don’t get excited like we used to.

This will be our first AK MM on the same date. We’ve only been DVC members since 2023, we went to the EPCOT MM last winter and thought it was amazing! Kids met Mushu and Starlord and Gammora and we looped Cosmic Rewind for much of the night, breaking occasionally for snacks.

I’m excited for AK but I’m not that into Pandora so I assume we’ll be doing M&G, ice cream, and EE. I presume the Safari will be closed. Does anyone know if Dinosaur will still be open?

Idk about Dinosaur. Everest is awesome at night though.

Also Pandora very cool at night, visually.

We're a BWV too. We have a 2BR and a 1BR all on the same membership. I haven't done an AK MM but my sister and brother did one in August 2023. They had a good time but left before the end. There just wasn't enough to do.
