We are going to try to get the DHS MM and are very excited because it's our Welcome Home trip.

My daughter attempted to register in the fall for one of the DAK MM events and she had major issues with the website where it wouldn't recognize our member ID. We're really worried we're going to have the same issue tomorrow. So I tried going to the link in the email that just came, and when I enter my member ID it gives me an error that my member ID is incorrect or they don't match. This is the same issue my daughter had.

I will call DVC, but I was wondering if others can get past that first screen right now? I realize the waiting room might not be open yet, but I thought at least I'd get in to a message saying that.

Yes I got to the countdown, use your member number that you used for the reservation.

I tested with our member # and it got me through to the queue waiting room.

Try copying & pasting from your DVC dashboard to make sure there are no accidental typos.

Hmm, that is interesting! And just to double check, is your membership DVC-Y (direct or grandfathered)? Just trying to think of anything that might trip this up.

Is there a way to check whether it's noted as DVC-Y? It should be. I have 2 contracts, but I bought Riviera direct from DVC last summer first and then added on Copper Creek after by resale. They are the same contract number with a -0 on the end for Riviera and a -1 for CC. The reservation is ok because I got the email (Riviera stay on Riviera points reserved direct through DVC as our Welcome Home trip). It's the MM website that just does not recognize our membership ID.

Do you think you are putting the wrong number? Via cellphone, go to the DVC page. Sign in. Click the hamburger (3 horizontal line) on the top left. Click my dashboard.
Your member number is a 12 digit number right beside “MEMBERSHIP ID:”

I've never tried for a MM event before, so I don't have any cached pages. The landing page I saw had the upcoming event info and a countdown to 11am ET. I believe the waiting room is indeed open.

I don't know how to fix your situation, but I don't think their response to you was correct.

I would call again before 11 tomorrow, would a cached page refresh eveny 3 seconds counting down to 11:00 AM (1/15/2025). I always open the link on my phone when I get the email and leave it open all night.

Idk if that is the answer. If you can not access the waiting room now then you need to call them back at least a couple
Of hrs before 11ET.

They’re full of it. I am a new direct member so no cached page and it works for me. You’re going to get locked out again if it’s not working now.

I’m not sure if they said how many direct
Pts they bought but if was not at least 150 then they are not eligible. - i think that is the minimum for membership extras at this time. Not sure because we are grandfathered in.

I find MS to not be very well trained some times. Buying OTU pts can take 5 minutes one day and half an hour or more the next…

I am going to call back in the morning as soon as they open. We definitely felt this wasn't a good answer, but short of arguing (which I won't do) there wasn't anything else I could say to convince them it wasn't going to work.

I believe so! On the DVC site, on my dashboard page, on the top left it says "My Memberships" and then under that it says Member ID: and that's the number I'm using. It's also the number I entered on the phone today when I called DVC and it worked there. My contract number is 8 digits. My reservation ID is 12 digits so just for fun I tried that one too. 🤷‍♀️

Sometimes there is a space or odd character at the start or end if you are copying and pasting.

Did you type the number in or copy & paste? If copy & paste, you may try deleting anything in front of the first character and delete anything after the last character. -
 
If MS isn’t willing to help, I’d try reaching out to your guide and see if they can escalate it to someone who can.
