Moonlight Magic Epcot DATE CHANGE

Just realized from the DVC website that they changed the Aug 13 date to Aug 15 -- the date that MK is open late: "UPDATED EVENT DATE: The Moonlight Magic event originally scheduled for Monday, August 13 has been moved to Wednesday, August 15, 2018."

This REALLY annoys me!! There are so few late MK dates anymore, and now they are offering us a "perk" that requires us to give one of those up to participate.

I get the idea of spreading out crowds -- which I assume is the reason -- but this really bugs me.

I did a "chat" with a DVC CM online and gave them my two cents. Got the standard "sorry for any inconvenience and I'll pas that along."

Didn't see that back then -- so disappointing that they force this choice and advertise as a great perk. Ugh.

August park hours and/or extra magic hours will change between now and then. Why let it bother you?

EMH very rarely change dates. Park hours likely will adjust, but probably not EMH dates. And they probably made the change to avoid the late MK day.

I'm going based on 22 or 23 trips so far over the past 12ish years. Hours changes are common, EMH dates changes far, far less so. More often they might ADD some late or early hours (I'd expect that at DHS with TSL opening), but they have rarely over of our trips played musical EMH dates on us. Very, very rarely.

And I pay very close attention to that because we plan around EMH all the time.
