If your Membership contains contracts that are direct and resale, and the reservation you have made for a moonlight magic event is made with both direct ( blue card ) and resale (non blue card) banked points do you still qualify for Early booking for the event?

I believe so, as long as you are eligible for the blue card discounts and a qualifying resort stay then I think you are eligible for early registration

Yep, it really has more to do with you being the one booking a stay on property (it wouldn't count if you rented points from someone for example even if they put your name on it). But the stay can be at any Disney resort including value and moderate resorts as long as you were the one who booked it. Obviously you must also be DVC-Y but that goes without saying.

Today, I learned of a Moonlight Magic rule that I was not previously aware of for members. Members can participate in multiple Moonlight Magic offerings annually, but cannot repeat a previously visited park within the calendar year. We participated in the July Moonlight Magic event at Animal Kingdom and are not eligible for next week's offering.

We typically participate in one event per year and next week was a surprise. Unfortunately, during the year we could potentially attend twice, our trips were timed with the same park offering.

The Merry Menagerie is our sole reason for wanting to attend ❄️

It’s something they have always done.

I actually think that members should be limited to registering for just one even for the year, regardless of which park.

So many members want to attend and more could if they did this. They always sell out so no shortage of members to take the spots.
