Moonlight Magic Check-in

I have reservations for the Typhoon Lagoon MM for 3. My adult son and his friend are with me. I may have to leave Disney prior to the event. Will he still be allowed to attend the event with his friend or because I will not be there to get the tickets/wrist bands, will they not be allowed? Any way to get them in without me if they show my info (i.e. my magic band or my DVC electronic card)?

At one time when you were staying on-property they provided wrist bands at the resort - which afforded a lot of flexibility including guests going without the owner.

Currently, MM checkin only occurs at the park with the member present. You mentioned leaving Disney. Checkin can occur within the park if you're already in the park prior to MM, although I believe checkin time is the same.

Thanks, it has changed then since the last time I went to MM. We used to check in in the lobby of the hotel and get wristbands. So, if he attempts to check in without me at Typhoon Lagoon, they will turn him away even though we already have the reservations correct? Even if I send him with my magic band or access to my DVC membership card?

Correct. They scan the digital membership card using the QR code so he would need to have your actual Magic Mobile pass on your phone. But, even then, since he is not the owner, they won’t let him in without you.. Having the reservations doesn’t matter since the rules require you to be there.

In our experience Membership card isn't sufficient. One time we went we didn't have mobile set up and despite having a printed confirmation and Membership card, they made us set up the mobile before allowing admission.

Needing photo ID is hit-or-miss (at least once have been asked, and other times have not been asked).
