Moonlight Magic at AK

Does anyone have any thoughts or insight when online booking will open for the Animal Kingdom Moonlight Magic event?

We enjoyed the event last year, and are hoping to go again this year. Last year the booking opened in April.

We're waiting on the online booking as well, hoping for 9/6. From what I could see with the water park ones in the summer, it looked like about 3 months before the first date, so I was thinking probably beginning of June....

I'm waiting too. We will be there both dates, and just became members recently, so this would be our first DVC event.

MS told me this morning that they try to start taking reservations 90 - 60 days prior. He said they they are often alerted by members calling in.

Reservations for the Typhoon Lagoon events in summer 2016 opened in April.

Animal Kingdom reservations didn't start until July.

Did they allow early entry last year? We have gone to the halloweeen parties (I know, different type of event) and they let the guest in around 4 even though it starts at 6:30.

They post the early entry time as well as the start time. For example, for the TL event, the info says that the party starts at 8:30, entry starts at 7:30, bus transportation starts at 6:30.

Since I'm going in September during moonlight magic, I'm expecting dvc to open up bookings when I'm at wdw June 3-11. Sometime during that time it will open up. That's the luck I have. So most likely june5 to 10. Count on it. I will have to call in on my vacation.

If anyone else wants to know when the December dates will open up for December for Epcot. That's going to happen sep10-17 when I'm at wdw. Once again that's the luck I have. Count on it.

Not that early unless you already have park admission. We didn't last year and weren't allowed in until right before the party.

New to these types of events, so could anyone give me just a rough estimation on how long online booking will be open before it sells out. Will it be a matter of days or weeks before it sells out? I really want to go to this and don't want to miss out, but I also hate to have to stalk the site every day. Thanks.

I have been stalking the boards looking for announcement too. In the past, how is everyone alerted that it is open? Is there a common Disney site that announces it? Here on the boards? Don't want to miss when they do but hate to just log on every day looking for a new "button" that will allow booking.

I will agree to post on here alerting everyone that it's open if you all will. The first notification that I received about MNSSHP tickets going on sale was on the disboards.

For the upcoming Typhoon Lagoon event, DVC sent an email out the day bookings opened.

I believe that Dinosaur was closed for refurbishment.

Was just noticing that the Typhoon Lagoon one opened reservations on 3/30, first event date being 6/28, so I've gotta think we're really close since the first AK date is 9/6.....
