hotel reservation is under a different account after. Am I still able to make a reservation on the earlier opportunity in January and will be eligible to get in?

Thanks!

As long as you have an on-site room reservation, you should be able to book during the on-site priority period. That said, their registration system is far from perfect and might not recognize the on-site stay.

I didn't notice if it applies for 2019 but the past years all that has been required is any onsite stay, even cash, to be eligible to book during the early window. If so then you definitely still qualify but as mentioned some people had their eligibility not recognize in the past if they were booking while holding a reservation on a membership that was not eligible. Others were able to do it without issues though.

We missed out on the Epcot MM because we had our DVC room reservation on our “non eligible” membership. The computer system could not connect the two for us to early register. I have read that people on cash reservations also had some issues. Best of luck.

I had trouble registering for the HS MM. I'm a "blue card" member but we were staying on my brother's points this year. The system just would not recognize my membership number as being valid. Fortunately, I was able to get n using his membership number (he was also staying at the same time in a separate villa). Disney IT at its finest.
