What do you want to see in the coming months?

Requesting help with ideas.

-The magic of processing, before and after photos.
-Using your camera's flash (whether external or pop-up).
-Black and white conversions and discussion about best way to convert and when a black and white works versus when it doesn't.
-What does the holiday season mean to you?
-Panning.
-Sidelighting, backlighting, diffusing natural light, etc.
-Holiday wish list and a photo demonstrating why you want this new gear, whether it be limitations of a lens, a new filter for brighter skies, etc.

---Thanksgiving Day with the Family
---Out and about shopping on Black Friday
---Christmas displays

* A low point of view
* Elements of composition - texture
* Reflections

I would love to see more indoor action shots. I am really struggling with getting the shots I want.

Great ideas, keep em coming.

I am trying to make it so that everyone can participate, which is why I've included kind of a general category as well as a more advanced one. That way there are options. Is this working?

Yes....I'm liking it so far.

We are finally getting some fall colors around here so I hope to post some additional shots soon

SInce November is Thanksgiving in the US, how about "Things for which we're thankful"?
(I'm not very creative)

I like those!! And, since I work retail, those would be easy!!LOL
And, I like the ones that aren't too tricky, because I just get to use my simple digital... I dont' have any darkrooms, or photo editing software :(
Maybe santa hears my pleas..... lol

I would love if people could share there best tips. Im new to photography and havent figured it all out. Animal photos would be cool, snow photos (I cant seem to get good ones, I hear this has to do with light exposer),holiday photos, favorite people photos. I love how your trying to include people like me who are begininers.

Like the low point of view that could turn out cool. Are green and dead considered fall colors :confused3 I tryed too spray paint some leaves on the trees down here but I kept falling off the ladder so I gave up

Too funny....one of the few pitfalls of living down south....no change of seasons

I second Ann's suggestion for black and white conversion. I tried a couple this past week with PSE7 for the first time, and didn't realize there were so many options!

Thank you for your ideas. I will keep them all in mind. Am always glad to hear others, as well.

Something like Reflections might work best in spring or summer months - but that will be fun.

I'm not familiar with B&W Conversion but when it's time I'll catch one of you to help me set that up.

Thanks.

Maybe the assignment could be to shoot the same subject at different focal lengths to better learn our lenses and understand the tele compression effect vs. the wide angle effect. I know I personally need to work at better understanding the perspective at varying focal lengths.

What shall we do for May??

Something with texture in images?

Backlighting & Silhouettes?

Shooting from a low or high perspective?

Can you believe it, I recently get a new camera and can't find time to get anything for the April assignment :sad2:

Oh well, still a week left :goodvibes

A couple ideas for May.

Spring has sprung.

A Photo scavenger hunt. List of the alphabet, doesn't have to be the whole alphabet, and object or things to photograph for each letter listed.

I also like the Backlighting & Silhouettes idea.

Shooting the moon

I like this....it was done in another forum where each day was a different letter. So May 1 would be A, May 2 would be B, and so on

I like this too but it is hard to post all those pics on here. I had thought about trying this in my own thread but the question of how to post so many pics had me stumped..:confused3
