Personally I didn't care for the one at Blue Bayou. I liked the turkey and ham one at Cafe Orleans. Definitely make reservations at BB, we had a 10 minute wait or so for Cafe Olreans at lunch last year to sit outside.
Here is the Monte Cristo from Cafe Orleans.

I love the 3 cheese mote at Cafe orleans and they don't offer it at BB , so I have never eaten there! You need to love cheese, the Brie is strong but even my DS11 like it, DS8 is a fan of the kids PB&J monte there but could easily eat 2 if I let him.

That's what I didn't like about the one at Blue Bayou...Cafe Orleans was not greasy at all.

I think it might have been the cafe orleans that was off- that was the only place I've had it. I got the one with meat, my wife had the three cheese, and we both spent the night throwing up. blech.

I've heard that if you ask they'll do it for you! :)

I've never had the one at CO but the one at BB wasn't all that greasy. As mentioned before I am uber picky about grease and yes, this is a greasy sandwich but I can eat it for sure. It looks the same as the post above but it comes with au gratin potatoes, salad or soup and bread.

Uhm, don't know if there is that much of a difference between the two places seeing as how the food comes from the SAME KITCHEN.

Of course the BB cost more and you get a few more things and the atmosphere, but as far as the food goes, they are the same.

Very true...yet the one at BB was a lot heavier on the outside fried part making it greasier for me. You can tell in the one from Cafe Orleans it's a very thin layer.

ok that's weird..............I really want to go to BB , but think most of the food sounds to heavy , I need room to eat junk between my meals. If I can get a 3 cheese monte in there I may just go!

I absolutely love the Monte Cristo at Cafe Orleans but somehow I didn't care for it at all when we went to eat it at Blue Bayou..

I think the people watching at Cafe Orleans is probably as fun as the scenery in Blue Bayou. We always make a ps to sit outside.

i feel the same way...but it would make sense if the food comes for BB and CO out of the same kitchen...Im pretty sure that CO has the kitchen and BB has it sent from there...so it gets to the customers at CO much quicker than if your dining at BB so it may sit around a little longer...and once that grease sets in forget it...Ive gotten ill from eating it at BB but not CO so this is my theory:idea:

I had one at BB and one at Cafe Orleans one day after the other and while I preferred the Cafe Orleans version, I liked both.

This picture made me "homesick" :(

Thanks for sharing it!! :D

So we ate at Cafe Orleans this weekend, I had the Monte Cristo. It was the exact same sandwich as the Blue Bayou. The gumbo is also exactly the same. It was good stuff!!
