Monte Crisco?

Does anyone know if any of the restaurants serve a Monte Crisco sandwich? Had a fabulous one at DL, but I don't recall being able to order one at WDW. Any suggestions?

None that I am aware of and I spent alot of time looking on www.wdig.con to find such a place. Apparently, this is only at DL - and it is a truly great sandwich.

However, I think that it's a 'monte cristo' and not a 'monte crisco'.

My DB is addicted to the ones at the Blue Bayou in D-Land......

I agree. We loved that one at DL. It seemed fattening, but yum, it was really good. I have never seen it at WDW though.

Years ago Town Square Cafe (now Tony's) served them. Never tried one myself and now it's too late.

I had one at Tony's in November of 1982. I have spent my life since then searching for it again. It was a deep fried sandwich with this strawberry currant dipping stuff. It was really memprable, its so sad that we can't get it anymore.

They used to serve one at Columbia Harbour House too! I even mentioned it to DH when we were making out plans for 2001. We didn't get to have one.....

If you have a Bennigan's near you, they have a very good Monte Cristo.

If you can't find one at WDW...you can go to the shopping center across the street from the village marketplace...head to jungle jims...they have a great monte christo sandwhich.
