Does anyone know if the new Monsters ride is scary? My four year old was scared of Mr.Toads and Snow White and would not go on a single "dark" ride after that. She did ride Winnie the Pooh and Small World.

How does she handle the movie? I don't think it's scary, but then I'm not a 4yo. My 6yo nephew handled it just fine, but he doesn't seem to get scared on rides.

It's not scary. It's actually more lit up than Snow White or alot of the older rides in Fantasyland. My 4 & 2 year old girls loved it.

Is this ride like a Snow White or Mr Toad where you sit in a car??? Or is it more of a fast thrill type ride??

Its a car simular to Snow White or Mr. Toads. It moves slowly through and you look at the story. It would say it is less scary then Snow White, Mr. Toad or Pinnocchio. They all have some questionable parts.

If you are interested read my thread on video podcasts.....the site i am talking about has an excellent ride video of the entire experience.

Personally, I don't really think Monster's is all that scary. My friend's 2 yr old went on it and he had a blast. Granted, each child has their own tolerances. I actually rode Snow White's Scary Adventures just recently and that IS a dark ride. I was freaked out at certain parts!

You know in the movie, during the opening credits, where they show all the different doors? For some weird reason, this always freaks out my dd. Even now, at 5.5 years old. Does anyone know if they have anything like that in the ride? Where there are a bunch of different doors that have monsters popping out of them?

my sister who is 23 doesnt really like snow white. but monsters is much slower than the attractions at DLR and much more child oriented. i know that sounds weird saying the fantasyland rides arent children oriented but if you ever actually read the brother's grimm version of snow white will know that it's much darker than the movie makes it out to be.

Dukland - there is a part with a lot of doors, but if I recall, the monsters are not popping out.

Personally, I think it is more "fun" that scary. Snow White scares kids, but this is just cute. There are a few loud parts that might upset a kid (there were some sirens). It is also much better lit.
