Bush garden in Tampa just opened a suspended family coaster.

From the concept art it does appear to have a lap bar and not a shoulder harness that would create a much different height requirement. Again, just concept art though.

Fine with replacing Muppets with this coaster, not fine with replacing RNR with it.

Hoping nothing is replaced. They have unused areas that don't require replacing anything.

I agree...but they had the same unused areas when they replaced Great Movie Ride with MMRR.

Great Movie Ride was full of issues which made keeping it very expensive. Most of those movie sets involved licensing agreements which are complex, limiting and expensive. If they kept the concept it would mean removing lots of the existing sets and replacing with Disney owned movies. While I was very sad to see it go (mostly for the Wizard of Oz and the Wicked Witch) and hated the MMRR concept as presented (projections on cardboard and walls) .... I do think it turned out to be a really cute ride and finally MM has his own ride!!

That was enlightening. Especially the part about them pulling that part of the announcement out of fear D’Amaro would be booed- that would have been career suicide for his shot at CEO. And I totally agree with the call, he would have been booed and it would have overshadowed all the rest of the announcements.

They could do both ..... Muppets Show moves to Imagination Pavilion theater and the entire pavilion becomes MUPPETS. They could even bring back the rainbow tunnel (nod to old) with Rainbow Connection playing.

Figment becomes the official mascot of EPCOT, much like he is now.

Monstropolis can go on Grand Ave.

As much as I love the Muppets - they probably need to rethink how they'll intergrate them into the park. I do enjoy Muppets3D and have loved it since it opens but it really does not pull the crowds anymore and 3D movie attractions don't have as long a shelf life as rides. I'd reluctantly be fine with them closing Muppets3D as long as they came up with some other really good Muppets themed area/attractions.

It does make me sad that the Muppets don't have the pull they once had and that they really haven't figured out a great way to keep them in popular culture. The first new movie was great but it hit on some hard truths too . . . .

Our last few trips, March and 4 times in 2023 was a full house every time.

The reason people are thinking it will be Muppets is because the concept art shows Galaxy's Edge directly behind Monsters Inc. Galaxy's Edge is not behind Animation Courtyard. It is behind Muppets. Now, I don't necessarily agree with this rumor because I also think Animation Courtyard makes the most sense, but I get why people are nervous.

???? What concept art shows that? I have only seen two pieces that show Monstropolis.

Is this the concept art you're referring to? The structures in the background slightly resemble spires, etc. of Galaxy's Edge but, if you look closely, you see that they're factory smokestacks, etc. and not Black Spires.

So after reading the latest rumors and news, I do still think this concept art is showing the backlot area behind Star Wars Launch Bay and behind Rock n Rollercoaster.

If the reporting is the be believed, Disney has likely abandoned the other concept art which appeared to show the Muppets Courtyard being converted to the Monsters Inc Land. Which means the concept art below is the likely location as of right now.

There are two main reasons why I think this is the area behind Star Wars Lunch Bay and Rock n Rollercoaster. First, if you look at the shape of the layout of the building facades on the right of the concept art, the general layout matches the shape of the back end of Rock n Rollercoaster (can be seen in google maps). Second, the roads in this concept art generally matches the layout of Showbiz Boulevard in google maps.

The large eye in the bottom left corner is apparently Harryhausen Japanese Restaurant, at least according to the other Muppets Courtyard concept art. I think this will either be located directly behind Sunset Ranch Market or maybe is be placed where the current Star Wars Launch Bay is located.

I am starting to believe that Disney will remove the Star Wars Lunch Bay building altogether. They need space for the Sully slide in the concept art, plus you can see a street corner towards the bottom of the art which turns toward the large eye. I think this may be a road that will connect to the current Animation Courtyard. I still think it is likely that the road directly across from the main Monsters Inc building will lead straight down to Sunset Boulevard.

Don't know why I feel so invested in this land lol - I guess I am more excited for this ride than I initially thought haha

The more I look at the post on the Disney Park's Blog, the more confused I become. I wish Disney would just release where this is going lol

When looking at the two pieces of concept art that are included in the blog post, it almost looks as if there are two different sides of the main rollercoaster building being shown. In one, you can see the domed entrance to the ride. We know this is the main entrance because Disney also shared the 3D model of the ride at D23.

However, when looking at the other piece of concept art (the one with Sully in the foreground), there appears to be red brick buildings in front of the main rollercoaster building. So are we looking at the back of the rollercoaster building in this photo? Furthermore, there is Harryhausen's (the Japanese restaurant in the first movie) with an entrance with a large eye over top of it, which is not included in the other piece of concept art.

Like I said, I am left with more questions than anything else.

Why doesn't Disney release where it is going? They are very smart in generating interest and excitement about changes coming to the parks and only releasing the information a bit at a time. Look at all the chats going on about the proposed changes and additions. All these conversations just adds to the excitement and anticipation and then Disney will release bits and pieces just to keep the excitement and anticipation at a high level for as long as possible.

Regardless of whether they take out Muppets or not it would've been nice if Disney had kept the muppets more relevant. Iy's such a great IP that they've let stagnate and fall into oblivion with newer audiences. Also how can you get rid of Muppetvision 3D when it was basically Jim Henson's last work! No no...animation courtyard it is.

Also FWIW I hope the new suspended coaster will be more thrill and less Peter Pan's Flight! Of course something the kids can go on too but nothing ultra tame

Legoland had a suspended coaster that was lower thrill, called Flying School. It ran from 2004 to 2023. So I guess it could go either way. It did have shoulder harness.
