Monsters Inc Ride

I second that, dd loves the Disney movies, we do to, so what a bette way to get kids and parents to love WDW even more than to bring the big screen to the parks.

One problem with WDW creating rides based on the movies: The Disney Animation Studio hasn't produced too many winners lately: Treasure Planet, Home on the Range, Brother Bear and Atlantis weren't the kind of box office smash hits that inspire a ride.

Here's hoping the Imagineers come up with a terrific ride based on Chicken Little. Maybe something where we're attacked by friendly aliens? Where we strap coke bottles on our backs and shoot ourselves up into the bell tower? I'm sure there are great minds in the Imagineering Office who can develop something out of that movie (even if it was only a moderate hit).

You know, it does seem that Disney "tries" things out at other parks before bringing them to WDW. I.E. Soaring; Pooh's Honey Pots; Pooh's Thoughtful Place; Lights, Action, Motorcars; Fantasmic; Etc.. At least the successful attractions find their way from other Disney parks to WDW. (Maybe Pooh's Honey Pots were at WDW first.)

That would be true if it wasn't for, oh:
Space Mountain,
TZone Tower of Terror,
Rock 'n Roller Coaster,
Indiana Jones Stunt Show,
Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin,
Mickey's Phailharmagic,
Dinosaur,
It's Tough to Be a Bug,
Lucky the Dinosaur,
MuppetVision 3D,
Expedition Everest,
Great Movie Ride,
Voyage of the Little Mermaid.
SpectroMagic,
IllumiNations,
Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade
all of the Future World attractions in Epcot (except Soarin')
Festival of the Lion King
and a couple of others I just didn't include.

SO...
WDW is not running behind ANY other Disney parks for innovation and attraction origination.

I never said that ALL of the good ones came from other parks, just that a lot of the new attractions that have been popular at WDW, specifically the ones listed, started at other parks. I agree that WDW has its fair share of winners, but so do some of the other parks. WDW can't have all of the originals. After all, it does have Mission Space and now Expedition Everest to the list you made. I agree that WDW has no comparison, I merely mentioned that it seems like when another park has a winner it usually finds its way to WDW in time. Hopefully, Monsters, Inc. will be another that makes it to WDW.

I find it great that great rides at the parks are shared among all of the locations at different times. If it isn't broke then share the wealth. You know why reinvent the wheel if you don't need to. Way to go Disney.
