Anyone just been down there to check out this new attraction?

I am having a hard time envisioning it and what its going to be like. Is there anything about it that could be frightening to little kids?

Whoop's realized it after I submitted this that I mistyped the movie title! I know it should be Monsters, Inc.

We've seen it twice now (once in preview and once last weekend.) There is nothing scary at all about it. The story is Monstropolis is now powered by laughs, so instead of the monsters going one by one to our rooms to get the laughter, they created a place where we can go in mass. You see a few monster comedians that interact with the audience, telling jokes and collecting laughs to power the city. It is very cute and even though some of the jokes were the same both times, DD7 loved it! The only thing that may be remotely scary is a recap of the movie and how screams used to collect power.

We just got back today and we saw it this morning. As Shay said, there is absolutely nothing scary; it is really very cute. Both kids (ages 4 &7) loved it. The show lasted 10 minutes: my only complaint that it wasn't long enough!

We loved it as well. My daughter loved the monsters and Roz!! I wish it were longer too. It was too funny!!

Could you elaborate for me what you remember being shown for this part?
DS (4) does not like the frightened looks on Boo's face,
and definitely doesn't like the "really scary looking" monsters.
I just don't want to freak him out if it's several minutes long,
or if they show a lot of the ugly/scary scenes.

TIA!

No, it's really not that bad. I have never seen the movie, but it looked like clips of the movie (or in that style) with some kids screaming and some monsters. It really only lasts a minute and it is not scary at all: it goes right into the kids laughing and how that's really what they are interested in.

Oh, I'm so glad to finally hear some positive reviews. :goodvibes Our kids can't wait to see it; Monsters, Inc. is one of our favorites! (And I can do a mean ROZ impersonation ;) )

From what I remembered, there is one shot of Boo crying, one of another kid jumping up in bed scared, and then a monster with a lot of eyes losing an eye. It was all very quick and done with a funny voice over from Mike Wazowski. DD7 says this part was while we were standing waiting to sit down so it isn't a big part at all. Once you get inside to sit down, it's all funny stuff. My DD used to be easily scared, so I understand wanting to be prepared.

Thank you - and Stephres :)

We saw it during the previews at the beginning of the month and my kids are STILL quoting it! They keep reminding me they're watching.........always watching. :lmao: It was great though - lots of fun!

It was not listed on the map or times guide so I don't think a lot of people knew about it. We waited about 10 minutes (the length of one show). The theater was not full when we made it inside.

Jessica, my kids are quoting it still too! :)

I can't wait to see this - I know DS will LOVE it - we watch this movie all the time! Nov can't get here quick enough!

I am so glad to hear such positive reviews! Ds (6) can't wait to see this next week.
