Monsters Inc Grand Opening Tomorrow

I just got back from California Adventure and Monsters Inc is Closed today for a Media/Celebrity Event. There were about 8 or 9 Celebrities that walked down the Monsters Inc Carpet. I saw Georgeo Lopez, John Voit and there were some other Celebrities that I didnt know the names of. Also saw the lady that does the Entertainment Section for KTLA.

Monsters Inc, Grand Opening, Monday January 23rd @ 10am in California Adventure.

I will be there and taking pictures and Video.

If CA was closed, how did they manage to get people in promoting for the new ride?? I saw lots of people on the news today taking pictures with George.

I was there on Saturday Jan 21.

And what exactly is taking place for the Grand Opening? Does anyone know?

I think he was saying that just this ride was closed. I actually got to ride it once last week when I was down there (although the line was a bit long to ride it a second time, there's no Fastpass on it currently.) It's a decent ride, and has a couple of interesting bits to it (The Roz figure at the end as you're waiting to be unloaded) but overall I'd probably put it at about the level of the Winnie the Pooh or Roger Rabbit rides. I'm not sure that all the CGI stuff from the movie really translates all that well to real world 3-dimensional figures.
