We have a 7:30am at the Poly. If we took our car to the transportation center would the monorails be open to get us to our 7:30am breakfast or will we have to drive to the Poly and then park later?
I thought that the monorails opened around 8am but I could be wrong.

I don't know the answer to the monorails, but I do know you can walk from the Transportation Center to the Polynesian, so you wouldn't even have to use the monorails.

Yeah, walking to the Poly from the TTC is probably going to be the fastest (unless you had absolutely no wait for a monorail), but the monorail is open then. We had 7:30 Kona reservations on our last trip and were able to take the monorail there from the Contemporary.

I believe the resort loop of the monorail starts running at 7:00 AM. We were able to use it to get to a 7:45 AM Chef Mickey's ADR and an 8:00 AM Crystal Palace ADR.

I'm not so sure it's faster to walk from TTC to Ohana than to take the monorail. It's a very short walk to Poly (5 min), but then you have to walk through the resort to the GCH, and then go upstairs for Ohana

The monorail lets you off at Poly on the 2nd floor, just a few feet from Ohana.

So, unless you're running late and need to run to Ohana, take the monorail.

I was just going to say that because the major plus to taking the Resort Monorail from the TTC is that once you get off at the Polynesian and walk into the 2nd floor of the GCH, it's where Ohana, Kona Cafe, and the Kona Island Sushi Bar is located. Plus I also think in the short time it takes to walk from the TTC to the Polynesian, you could have been waiting for the Resort Monorail to arrive and got there just a bit faster.

Thank you everyone for the suggestions! I do want to leave the car at the TTC since we will end up at Epcot for the day. Our first one is a busy one! Breakfast at Ohana, Lunch at LeCellier and Dinner at the Garden Grill! It's a deluxe dining trip for us and I cannot wait!

Why not drive to Poly and park there for your breakfast? They should allow you to do so if you have ADRs. Then drive over the EPCOT and park the car there. After a long day at EPCOT, I'm not sure I would want to have to get to the TTC at the end of the day.

Do you belong to AAA if so get the parking pass, EPCOT's parking especially the parking reserved for AAA members is very close to the Epcot enterance and much better then the TTC parking area, we only use the TTC parking for the MK and we actually think that for the MK it's actually better to use the resort bus to get there, every other park, water park and DTD we drive. Like jen said drive to Poly (you can park there to eat in their restaurants) then drive to EPCOT.

I thought you had to book your vacation through AAA to get that pass?

I do book thru AAA but I take the pin and they call in with that, we have alway done that with free dining and room discounts, in fact DW just got back 10 min. ago from AAA and book for Oct.24 to Oct 30 at POP. They told her if we would get the free dining pin bring it in and they will make the switch since free dining would be the better deal. I just booked the flight on line with car which I do on my own and not thru AAA.
Now if you don't book thru AAA but you have AAA I would ask for the parking pass and see what they say.
