i am looking for a support for macro...i have a tripod but it has a panning ahead and i dont' think it's interchangable but drove me nuts trying to use a macro lens with it. i was also kind of looking for a monopod since it would be easier to use when traveling if i don;t want to use my IS lens( tried making one with a hiking stick but it doesn't really seem like it's adjustable enough to use in most situations )
this seem like a good idea and as long as it would be strong enough( my camera is less than the limit) it might fit my needs but would like anyone's input
Thanks

I have one of those and I love it. It might be a little tall for Macro work, but a good pod for the money and is very stable when the three legs are extended.

thanks...i thought the price was good also.

how far does the ball rotate? i was having a problem since the head i have only tilts down maybe 45 degreestops. i have mobility problems so i was hoping for something i could adjust more than that but not have to kneel since i'd not be able to get back up :teeth:

The ball probably rotates 45 deg, but has a notch in it so you can use it for portrait.
