I posted this on another part of the forums, but thought i'd pass it along to the parents too....

The Monorails interior has been changed. The center poles have been removed and now there are 4 poles, two on either side, moved closer to the seats, leaving the center open. Now every car of the Monorail can accommodate every type of stroller.

When we visited yesterday, it was a very welcome change as we have a double wide stroller and used to have to wait for a handicapped one to become available in order to ride the Monorail. :cool1:

Yay! We bring a double jogger from home too and this is a welcome change! Though we have never had to wait for a handicap section of the monorail, it will be nice to have the option of going in any section of the monorail. Thanks for the info!

This is great news.. We had to wait for the Handicapped car as well with our Maclaren double.....So they revamped all of them??

Newbie here - do you not collapse your stroller on the momrail?
If it is busy and they are short on space, they can ask you to collapse the stroller to make more room for other guests.
If it's not busy, you can roll it right on.

They have not revamped all of them yet. There are several that are done and several yet to be done, according to my CM monorail driving brother. All, eventually, will be done. :thumbsup2

That's great! That was one of the negatives in debating what stroller to take.

FYI- they have not revamped all of them. We were on last week and a man got on with his baby sleeping in a mac side by side. This car had not been revamped and he didn't look as they were calling last boarding call. Well- the door got stuck on the one handle and the other door just kept opening and closing into him. He couldn't get the handle undone from the other door and we had to reset the entire monorail system... left us sitting there for quite some time - and him with some bruises. Moral- just check before you plow on in!

I was there in June last year and never had to collapse the stroller on the monorail.

Yeah I agree I've been multiple times over the past four years and I've never been asked to collapse a stroller on the monorail.

If its super busy we might decide to wait for the next one so we have room..(i've never enjoyed feeling like cattle ;) )
