Monorail ??

Don't know if this is the correct place to ask this, hope it is.. We are planning on doing Chef Mickey's on our first night at Disney, not planning on doing parks that day, can we hop on the monorail for a ride after dinner, or are we not allowed to because we aren't techincally in the "parks". Also, if we are allowed, what would the route be from the Conte. Resort?? I'm hoping if we make a 6:30 p.s. we will be able to view the "Wishes" fireworks from CR..

Yes, you can ride the monorail without going into the parks.

Chef Mickeys is at the Contemporary Resort. I never heard of any rules about riding the monorail. We have stayed at CR before and used the monorail to go to GF or Poly for other meals. Those were park rides just food rides !

In all my many visits to WDW, no one has ever checked my ticket when riding resort transportation.

From the CR, they make stops at MK, GF, and the Poly, then TTC then back to CR. You can just make a nice leisure relaxing ride out of it!

(I believe that is the route....Im scatterbrained tonite...long rainy dreary day here in the south)

I'm not positive, but I seem to remember it in the reverse order. CR to TTC, Poly, GF, MK and back to CR. We stayed at CR in May and rode the loop a couple of nights just to relax. No one ever checked for tickets or hotel cards.

Technically, I suppose, as long as you are staying onsite you can use all WDW transportation without necessarily going to the parks. I can't see how this would be a problem.
