Since we are arriving mid-afternoon, I was thinking of taking a ride on the monorails to see the sights on our arrival day. What is the best way to do this? We are staying at the BCV so I am thinking we would have to take the bus to MK then get on the monorail from there. Does this sound right? We want to take the resorts route and also the Epcot monorail route. How do we do this? I believe they are separate monorails right? Also, how much time would you allow to take these monorail rides? We have an 8:15 PS at Chef Mickey's

Thats exactly what we do our arrival day. Bus to MK, monorail to the hotels and explore each one. then to epcot monoraill at TTC and bus back. But you will want to come bact to TTC and Resort monorail to the Contemp for your reservation. The actual rides are not very long, so just keep an eye on the time at the hotels and you should have lots of time to see the sites (check out the water pagent after dinner). Also remember there is a 3rd Monorail, express TTC to MK, it runs in the other direction from the resort monorail.

This is what you want to do:

Hop a bus to the Magic Kingdom at about 6:15-6:30. Earlier if you choose to resort hop later on.

Hop on board the Express Monorail to the TTC. Make sure to ask to ride up front. If you have to wait a train, wait. It's worth it. The front cab can accomodate 4 people.

When you get to the TTC, disembark, and walk over to the Epcot Monorail. Make sure once again to ride up front. If it's taken, WAIT FOR THE NEXT TRAIN. When you get to Epcot, if no one has asked for the front, they might allow you to stay on board. If someone there has asked for the front, you may be asked to step into the back. Take the monorail back to the TTC.

At the TTC, hop on board the Resort Monorail. This monorail will make stops at the Polynesian, Grand Floridian, and eventually the Contemporary. If you have time before your dinner, feel free to disembark, and check out the lobbies of these resorts.
