As an off site pleb I have sought to find out how the other arf live and got a PS for Chef Mickeys on our last evening.

As this is a day we had earmarked for Typhoon Lagoon/shopping in the Village how can we get to the Contemporary resort by monorail.

Are there any problems with this (and leaving the car parked at the village or elsewhere beyond closing time.

My wife thinks the Normandy landings were easy to plan than this holiday but in the words of David Brent "a lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part"

Please bear with me while I finalise my cunning plan.

The Monorail that the Contemporary is on just runs as a loop around all the MK resorts. Buses from Downtown Disney run to all the resorts so you can either go to the Polynesian or the Grand Floridian and get on the Monorail there.

Unless there is a specific reason why you want to leave your car at DTD, and assuming you just want to have a little ride on the Monorail, personally I would drive to the Contemporary (they will issue you with a little 3 hour temp parking permit - no charge) and then you can hop on the Monorail either before or after your meal for a little lap of the resorts - if you had time, you could even get off and look around the Poly or the GF as well - it's totally allowed for you to have a wander around the grounds and shops and well worth it :)
