Staying offsite but planning a romantic dinner at the Contemporary. Can we take a monorail roundtrip ride from this resort even tho we are not staying onsite and approximately how long would this take? Thanks in advance for any comments. Julie

Generally you may ride the monorail from anywhere to anywhere it serves including round trips.

The exception is that during peak times guests going to and from the parking lot (TTC) are discouraged from using the monorail that serves the MK resorts primarily. Here they check resort ID's.

By all means, take a ride on our Highway in the Sky! :) Just be careful of the times... during a Magic Kingdom park exit (just after a parade, fireworks, or park close) the train will be pretty crowded.

One thing you might want to do... as soon as you get to the Contemporary Monorail Station, ask the Monorail Host/Hostess to sit in the Front Cab of the Contemporary's train. (Each resort has thier own train) You might have to wait for a train or two, but TRUST ME... it will be worth it. It's a 15-20 minute ride, for a round trip (give or take), and you may have to wait about 10 mins to get in the front. But it's well worth it... :)
