Monorail

Im staying at the GF in August this year and was after a bit of info on the monorail! Could anyone tell me how long it takes to get from the GF to the MK (and if its quicker to get the boat?) Also I remember from my last visit that the queues where massive for the monorail after the fireworks at the MK so do they have a monorail at that time that goes only to the hotels and do the boats still run if so do you think that this would be faster?

From the GF the MK is the very next stop. So I'd say it would just depend on how long you have to wait on the monorail to get to the GF. Probably not long! Definitely quicker than the boats. But the boats are fun and relaxing.

Not sure about after the fireworks. It would be just like the buses I suppose. The quicker you get out of the park and to the monorail, the less time you will have to wait!

For some reason crowds on the boats don't seem to bother me as much as crowds on the monorail. After the fireworks the monorail just feels like I'm a sardine while the boat ride feels better. It's actually pretty easy to start the boat passengers singing a Disney song in unison. No so much with the monorail.
