Hi Ya all! I haven't been on here for awhile. I have a question. Is there a seperate charge now for using the monorail from the deluxe resorts? Haven't stayed at a deluxe for several years and I noticed they all say motorcoach as the means of transportation. I was on the AAA website. Is that right? Also, my son just aid they could go for spring break March 15-21. Is it too late to plan a deluxe stay for that? They want WL. Thanks!!:yay:

There is no charge to ride the monorail, even if you are not staying at a monorail resort. Anyone can get on.

WL is a deluxe, but not on the monorail route. WL offers bus and boat transportation. AKL offers bus only, no boat or monorail.

The only Resorts on the Monorail is the Contemporary, Polynesian and Grand Floridian and a great way to visit them is after going to the Magic Kingdom. From there just get on the Resort Monorail and go all around. Once your finished you could take the Monorail back from the Grand Floridian to the Magic Kingdom and get on the bus or boat back to the Wilderness Lodge.

It's not to late to plan for spring break. My mom just booked us 4 days at the Poly from Jan 20-23 and 2 at the Contemporary Tower Jan 24-26 on Jan 3. If your not as picky about your deluxe resort you may have an easier time. Just remember the Disney.com is not always the best for reservation info you might have to call and call often to get what you want.

DW mouser,
If you are able to get a room at the Wilderness Lodge, here is the other way you can tour the Resorts on the Monorail line. From the Wilderness Lodge take the boat to the Contemporary and from there walk into the Tower towards the Monorail station on the 4th floor, it can't be any more easier.

Thanks guys!! I's amazing the things a person forgets!! I stayed at the Wilderness in 2000 and forgot it didn't have a monarail!! Guess I'll check with the Poly.

Another thing, is AAA my best bet for a discount? They saved me big bucks at Port Orleans in 2006 but I thought maybe there were other codes.

You're welcome and what's great about the Polynesian besides having the Monorail, is that you can walk to the TTC. Since that is where you would find the Epcot Monorail, walking is a lot faster then taking the Resort Monorail all the way around to the TTC.

Epcot line? Now I feel dumb asking this but are there several lines? Say I wanted to go from Epcot to MK. Is this possible or do you have to change trains? Great responses to this thread. We are staying at WL in April and wanted to resort hop to check others out.

When you leave Epcot from there take the Monorail to the TTC and when you arrive at the TTC, you can either take the Express Monorail or the ferry boat to the Magic Kingdom.
