Can someone please explain to me exactly what this means in terms of what is different in monorail operation to the parks and whether it should be back to normal monorail operation before Summer 2015? What month is it anticipated to return to regular schedules?

Quoted from wdwmagic: Monorail- Express Monorail Beam- 3/10/2015- Summer 2015 will be closed on Tuesdays and Wednesday from 11:30 AM - 6:00 PM. The Resort Monorail will continue to run during these times. Guests will need to use the Ferry Boats to Magic Kingdom.

1. exactly what this means in terms of what is different in monorail operation to the parks and whether it should be back to normal monorail operation before Summer 2015?

2. What month is it anticipated to return to regular schedules?

3. That quote spells it out pretty well.

1. The monorails normally travel in a complete loop around Seven Seas Lagoon.
The MK (Express) Monorail normally travels CCW.
The Resort Monorail normally travels CW.

During this extended construction process, those routes can be interrupted and directions of travel reversed and/or caused to first go one way partially around the loop, then reverse to go the opposite direction partially around the loop, or stopped altogether.

2. Exactly when things will return to normal, nobody can accurately predict.

--------------------------------------------
There is a third monorail route that also terminates at TTC.
It runs clockwise on a loop that has as its only other stop Epcot.
The Epcot Monorail is not named as being affected in this latest round of service inturruptions.

Not sure where the confusion is as the second paragraph explains it. From now until summer, on Tuesday and Wednesday's during the middle of the day, the monorail going from TTC and MK will be closed. So guests will either take the ferry, resort monorail, or bus if available.

It will still be operating however during the busiest times, park opting and closing

True. We do have at least one current bus driver on the Transportation Forum who posts when there are any transportation changes.

Thank you for the replies. I guess what I found confusing is a reference to the Express Monorail as I didn't know which one that would be before Robo explained it more, and what it would mean for someone coming from a monorail resort to MK or from MK to monorail resort, or for trying to get to/from Epcot from a monorail resort. Based on the replies, Epcot travel wouldn't be impacted, but does the "resort monorail" also stop at MK? I think yes but not sure.

That confuses me too. It says the resort monorail will be working, but guests have to take the ferry.. The resort monorail stops at the MK. o_O Do they just mean that people parking in the MK lot at the TTC have to use the ferry?

The only monorail affected by this is the one that runs directly between TTC and MK ( the Express monorail.) the monorail that stops at each of the resorts and MK(the Resort monorail) is unaffected entirely, as is the monorail that connects Epcot to the. TTC.

Thank you, this makes more sense now.

Appreciate everyone's replies, thanks.
