Monorail to Polynesian for dinner at Ohana?

We currently have reservations at Ohana for our next trip (yay!) and will be at Magic Kingdom that afternoon before we eat there. We are planning to use the bus system from our resort to get to MK. My question is: can we take the monorail from MK to the Polynesian Resort to eat at Ohana and then use the bus system to get back to All-Star Sports? (reservation at 10:05 pm) I've heard some stories of people getting stranded by being out too late. With a dinner reservation at 10:05 and the MK closing at 10:00 pm that evening, I'm a little worried we'll be stuck without a ride! How long after park closing do the buses typically run?

Buses usually run one hour after park closing. Just take the monorail back to the magic kingdom after dinner and then walk over to your resort bus stop. If Epcot is open late that night you could walk from the Poly to the TTC, ride the Epcot monorail over and then catch your bus from there. Or as a last resort, you could always take a cab back to your resort from the Poly. Have fun!

If the MK closes at 10 PM & your ADR is for 10:05 you may be cutting it too close to go back to the MK for a bus to your resort. You can take a bus from the Poly to DS & then transfer there. But that is a slow trip.
I would budget for a cab or Uber after dinner to All Stars. It is not expensive & worth every penny

It would be much quicker to grab a taxi, and should only cost around $20. No way would I recommend going to Disney Springs and transferring. That could take a long time!

We had a similar situation this week where we had an 8:50 pm adr at the grand Floridian and mk closed at 10. We took the bus to DS and then transferred. We didn't have any issues but you run the risk that it could take a while.

You'll have no problem taking the monorail from MK to the Poly. On the way back, however, I recommend a taxi.

Thanks for all the info and suggestions! I've never used Uber, but I've heard that it is typically a lot cheaper than a taxi. Do you have to book an Uber driver in advance or can they usually be there pretty quickly?

Uber generally picks you up within 10 minutes of you "selecting your ride", but usually even less. It's really easy and convienient. Not to mention, if you google, you can probably find a promo code for first time Uber users that will make your ride virtually free!

I was skeptical, but went to SF earlier this year and it was a life saver for our group!

Definitely the way to go in your situation!

Definitely google the first ride code, I just did and there are numerous promo codes! I would post some here for you to save the effort, but it sure if the board rules allow for it...

That seems way to late to be using the bus system IMO.
