Monorail to Kona Cafe for Lunch - How Much Time to Allow?

Visiting in early February. Planning to take the Monorail from MK to for a 12:40 lunch reservation at Kona Cafe. How much time do I need to allow to get from Tomorrow Land to the Polynesian? Then is it reasonable to schedule a FP for 2:30 afterwards back in MK, or will that be rushing things?

If it were me, I would try to be at the monorail platform 25-30 mins before my reservation. Although you most likely won't need that long, you'll have a few extra minutes just in case. A 2:30 FP afterwards should be just fine.

From Tomorrowland, give yourself at least 45 minutes to an hour - dependent upon your walking pace.

If you are early, check into Kona and browse around until your pager goes off. You'll have until 3:45 to use your FP (includes grace period).

May be quicker to take the resort launch if you see one as you approach the monorail station

We just did this a few weeks ago. We left MK about 45 min prior to our 1:15 reservation at Kona. We took our time getting back and stopped to visit Grand Floridian on the way back.

I'll be doing this for breakfast. Can't WAIT to try to Tonga Toast. I've been drooling over pics for a year now. I hadn't thought about stopping at the Grand Floridian. We will definitely do that as well.

We typically do lunch at the Grand Floridian as our break (because we often stay at the Poly), and always allow an hour (from our last attraction) to get there from MK. Sometimes, we stop at the candy store on the way out. if you give yourself an hour, you will have plenty of time. If you give yourself less, you will worry, and an issue with transportation will be stressful. We usually like to take the resort launch for the ride for a break. Maybe do monorail one way, boat the other!
