monorail restaurant

I was planning on dropping my children off at one of the kids clubs that has monorail service to cut down on traveling time in between, and then we would be going out to a nice dinner with another couple. Does any one have any suggestions on a good restaurant within reach of the monorail?

I like the California Grill at Contemporary it is really great and the view is very cool.

Narcossee's and Citrico's at GF are also excellent, great view of fireworks or electrical water pageant from Narcoossee's. Citrico's has the more adventurous menu, while Narcoossee's is classic seafood/steak. Ohana at the Poly has nice atmosphere and a beautiful view, but is more family style dining than romantic or adult. They do some games with the kids (hula hoop contest & coconut roll) and it can get a bit noisy, but the food is very good.
California Grill of course has that fabulous view, but we have not been impressed with the food (except for the sushi sampler) or the service either of the times we've been there. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't of a caliber commensurate with its cost, even considering the view. I'd rather have a drink in their lounge, maybe an appetizer, than do a full dinner.

Cal Grill, Concourse Steakhouse, Narcoossees and Citricos are all very nice and can easily be reached on the Monorail.

You might want to go check out he menus site. Keep in mind that Cal Grill & Citricos menus are seasonal and change.

My suggestion, especially if you want to have a leisurely dinner, is get drinks at the California Grill lounge, and then take the monorail to Citricos. The service and food are so consistently impressive that I tell anyone who cares about both to fit Citricos into their budget.

However, the CG lounge offers an impressive view in an urban atmosphere that's pretty hard to beat.

Concourse Steakhouse is nice, the food is good and you can watch the monorail, but it does tend to get noisy with Chef Mickey's right next door.

California Grille is awesome. Great food, excellant service, amazing view. A true experience.
