Does the Poly and Contemporary Resort have bus service to Epcot or do you have to take the Monorail to the TTC? Is it a long trip by Monorail to Epcot? We spend a lot of time hopping over to Epcot to eat so was wondering if a monorail resort would be worth the extra $$$? Thanks!

There is no bus service to Epcot from those resorts, nor is there from the GF.

You would have to take the monorail to the TTC & then transfer.

If you stayed at the Poly, you could walk over to the TTC without getting on the monorail to loop the lagoon.

That is why I prefer the Poly, you can walk to the TTC to get to Epcot.

I timed a bunch of things on one of our trips and to go from our room at the Polyensian to the middle of Epcot took 17 minutes. It was an 8 minute ride on the monorail from gate to gate and the rest was walking. We have made reservations to eat at Epcot from the resort and only had 30 minutes to get there and have made it with time to spare.

Here is the page that shows some of the times I recorded.

Thank You so much for the info!!! Tikiman: the link and extra information was just what I'd been looking for! Thank You so much! I have always loved visiting the Poly! We've been to the Luau and walked around the resort a bit-I hope we can stay there some day.

We made what felt like a mistake going from GF to Epcot via the resort monorail to the TTC to the Epcot monorail one time (we always have a car and usually drive everywhere). It seemed like it took over half an hour to get to Epcot (the resort monorail was ssssslllllloooooowwwwww). Seems like it usually only takes us 5-8 minutes to get to Epcot via car, and the difference in walking from the lot to get into Epcot isn't that much worse than where the monorail lets you off (it would be different if the monorail dropped you back at America, for example). These are gut times though, nothing officially measured.

I agree that the Poly wouldn't be as bad because you wouldn't have to go through the monorail loop like we had to.
