Monorail Refurb and Closures

I am having some trouble finding information. It looks like the monorail refurb and random closures will be ending on 3/20? Is there any updated information on this? The all day closures on Wed and Thurs seems awful and I am trying to determine if it will still be around in April.

According to this, it's supposed to go through April. I found the below on the DIS, but have seen the exact same thing on 3 other Sites that list WDW refurbs and closures.

Monorail - 1/13/2016-4/2016 The monorail is under refurbishment and may have modified service or routes. You should check on the day of travel the best option to use. Alternative transportation options may be available.

• Express Beam Overnight Closures- 11:30 PM Sundays- 9:30 AM Mondays, 11:30 PM Mondays- 9:30 AM Tuesdays
• Monorail Shutdown- 11:30 AM- 6:00 PM on Wednesdays and Thursdays
  
  Resort Beam Overnight Closures - 12:00 AM- 8:30 AM Mondays, 12:00 AM- 8:30 AM Tuesdays

Thanks for the info!! We're staying at Poly at the end of May And we were really look forward to the easy access to the monorail. Hope it is all ready to go by the time we visit. Does anyone know about the path to the ticket and transportation center? I heard that it might be closed as well ? Hope that there is an easy detour!

Uh oh. I have an 'Ohana dinner reservation on a Wednesday at 5pm...does that mean I can not take the monorail from MK to Poly?

What month? I think it should be back to 100% service mid-April.

There is the boat that goes to GF and Poly. It's actually a nice ride. I would just factor in more time for this mode of transportation.

The monorail has been operating on abbreviated hours for what seems like years. When the latest round of maintenance is completed (April?) will we be likely to see another period of uninterrupted monorail service in the near future? Or will the band-aids continue to be applied while the poor monorail limps on?

they when I have been there never had both monorails down at the same time.

so just take the express monorail to TTC then walk over to the Polyn

or the ferry - again you will have to walk to the Polyn - but it is a short walk (around 5 to 10 minutes)

If you are staying at POLY I would walk to the TTC and catch the EPCOT monorail there, it will save you a lot of time.
