So is the monorail up and fully operational now? Is it completley closed, open for one way travel, or back to normal?

Also what are the chances that it will be fully operational both ways by the end of April?

We may have a last minute trip planned with my mom for then and the monorail will be a deciding factor whether we choose the Grand or DLH!

Thanks

Andrea

It's operating in one-way, shuttle mode until the Nemo Subs open this summer.

Thanks a bunch! Did I also read something about only resort guests were being allowed on or am I dreaming that? That would be great! Thanks

Andrea

During high traffic periods, like the first hour or so of the day, I've heard it's resort guests only. Some of my friends have ridden it since it came back and they're not resort guests.

We just came home today from DL. Monorail was one-way only, but they did not check whether you were a resort guest or not.

We rode it from DL to DTD last week. Not asked anything.

Thanks guys! We decided on the DLH for this trip, but my mom had back surgery this year so just wanted to make sure the monorail was an option!

Are the waits long for it with it being only one way?

Also does anyone know the pool hours for the DLH? Thanks

Andrea

Yes, the wait is long. We waited 1 train, about 20 minutes. I was shocked it took as long as it had. They were training someone new, I don't know if that had prolonged it. This was at about 6:00 on the 2nd of January.

Any new news on how the monorial is operating? I read that the Nemo lagoon is full of water. Anyone have any new info on that or new pics to share?

We were there from the 3rd to the 7th and the waits (if you couldn't fit on a monorail or just missed one) were 7-10 minutes. It wasn't bad at all although one night they had trouble opening the doors and we had to wait to get off.:lmao:

When the monorail is fully operational is there usually a long wait from DLH to DTD and back?

Back before it went into shuttle mode, when the regular two trains were running continously, I never really seemed to ever wait more than 5 minutes at the most, and that was at peak times!

Monorail won't return to round trip service until Finding Nemo construction is completed this summer. Look for the monorail to return to round trip service around may or june. I went last August and it was one way shuttle service at the time. There are only two monorails in service right now and they are monorail red and monorail purple. The other two have been sent to Canada for refurbishment as new trains that are due to be in service when Finding Nemo submarines are completed.
