Do you have to be a hotel guest or have a park ticket in order to ride the monoral???
We want to eat at the contemporary, and are staying off property, and we want to tour some of the other resorts...can we jump on the monorail and do it or is there someone who checks who can ride the monorail and who cant???

Don't worry. There is nobody checking tickets.

Even if there were, just tell them you want to visit/shop/eat at the resort and there would be no problem.

You should not have a problem. We have only had resort ID's checked twice to get on the monorail. The last time was a couple of years ago.
