After flying in at 4:00 p.m. June 11, getting the car, finding the hotel, stocking up at Wal*Mart, if there's time left that night, I'd like to take my family to ride the monorail @ MK to "catch the magic". Isn't there one that loops the park? How do we go about riding it? I remember last year riding the rail to MK, but no further. I don't want to waste a day on our passes, either. Is that possible? Sorry there are so many questions, I just need help!

Give me details, ya'll!

Thanks,

William:D

The one monorail runs in a loop from MK, Cont., TTC, Poly and GF. You can get on the monorail at any of these places. Another monorail runs from TTC to EPCOT and back.

You could go to the ticket/transit center and ride either the resort monorail which goes to Poly, GF, Contemporary and by MK(it makes a stop there, but you are not inside the park) or you could ride the monorail to Epcot. This one does loop around Spaceship Earth inside the park and then stops outside the park. Another alternative to using some of your park pass is to go to Downtown Disney. There is no entrance fee, except for Pleasure Island in the evening. You could look around the Marketplace area at the shops or look at the shops on the West side. Your hotel should have a brochure on this area. We have also enjoyed playing miniature golf in the evening. We especially like the Winter/Summerland course near Blizzard Beach.

This is exactly what we did last April. We checked in and got settled and by that time, we did not want to use a day on our Hoppers so we took a bus to Epcot and rode the Monorail to the TTC and then hopped on the Resort loop. A great way to get started. It was Holly's first trip and I wanted to get her into it as quickly as possible. And I was dying to hear "Please stand clear of the doors". :)

Yes! We have done that for years. Get on the monorail and ride the MK loop and change over to do the Epcot loop. :earsboy:

hi,
we too are coming in on a friday night. by the time we arrive and check in it will likely be about 7pm. we are staying off-site. can we still ride the monorail? is there a charge? where should we go to park and then ride? any suggestion for dinner that evening that might incorporate the monorail without going into the parks?

Hey!

If you'd like to ride the monorail and include a dinner without getting into the parks, I suggest parking at the TTC, take the Magic Kingdom monorail loop and get off at any of the resorts on the loop. They all have restaurants. I suggest getting off at the Contemporary Resort and having dinner at either Chef Mickey's (buffet), or the Concourse Steakhouse (table service). Be sure to make PS's though! :pinkbounc

If your not staying on site you need to pay $6.00 to park before you get on the monorail.

we're having breakfast at chef mickeys sat morning, so we don't want to go there for dinner the night before. looking for "cheap" place on the monorail loop. any suggestions? and please forgive me, but what is the ttc?
thanks,
gayle
