Monorail playset?

Anyone there recently notice if they have the monorail playset in the stores and how much it is? My son has been saving his money since xmas. I notice it hasn't been on disneystore.com for a while and I really want to warn him if it's not available anymore! Thanks.

Yep... Still there. Definitely have them in the store downtown. Not sure how much they are now, as it's been a few years since we got ours.

I think it's the same price in the parks. We bought it for my DS a year ago Christmas and it was $80 something.

I was told during an online chat with disneystore dot com that the WDW Mark VI trains are only sold out, not discontinued. Even though I've not seen them available since before Christmas.

They certainly had plenty in Orlando for our Dec 2013 trip, though.

We were just down a couple weeks ago and DS wanted the Coral and/or Silver monorails. DH searched everywhere but they only had blue and orange (I think it was). Are we out of luck? .
I think when we were down in Nov they had the Coral, but we thought DS was done with his collection. Goes to show.....buy it when you see i!

Check the Christmas store in DTD. That's where we got ours a few years ago.

They sell them on the gift shop in the Contemporary if you didn't want to go all the way to DTD.
They 100% had then last time I was there in December

Thanks everyone for your replies! I'm happy they are still in the stores. Disneystore online only has the Disneyland one (and we've never been and DS specifically wants the WDW one - for now ). I did see them on the website before xmas and I'm pretty sure they were a bit more than the Disneyland one.

Now I just have to figure out how to get it into our suitcase for the trip home! haha

They only sell 2 colors per year. In 2012 when I was down, they had Green and Yellow.

Thanks! I didn't realize there were different colours. At least he doesn't know that yet

They only sell 2 colors per year. In 2012 when I was down, they had Green and Yellow.

Yes, but be warned.....this could be the beginning of an EXPENSIVE hobby lol!! We have many MANY monorails (even have a Christmas monorail.....someone very talented bought a monorail and put Holiday lights, candy cane stripes, even tiny presents on it.....and sold it on EBay)! LOVE to see it around our tree!!

We also have the CR, the TTC, and the Epcot Ball. It is always set up in DS's bedroom!

Oh and FWIW..... if you ever decide to purchase online, you cannot specify what color, it's whatever they have (unless it's changed).

Good to know about the online ordering. He just turned 4 last week and has been asking for it since Christmas. He got money from grandparents and that's what he said he wants!

He wanted the Mickey Mouse Club House Playset since xmas 2012 and we finally got it for him this past xmas (2013) and, honestly, he's played with it once! That's why I've yet to get him the monorail, cause I'm assuming the same thing will happen. But if not, thanks for the warning that it could become expensive. I guess if he has to have an expensive collection, WDW monorails will remind me of our vacations
