Monorail Peach to be added to the fleet!

No, Tronorail was Coral. Not sure how they will differentiate the colors. Coral has deltas, so Peach probably won't.

So the question is, is this a refurbed older monorail, or is this testing a new generation of the monorail (honestly, I don't believe the latter is even a possibility).

As far as I know, it was built new but with the existing specs.

Peach is made up of the repaired sections of monorails Pink & Purple which were damaged in the collision (rear cab of Pink and front cab of Purple, with the more or less undamaged coaches).

The news report in the next post says Pink & Purple were turned into Monorail Teal... and that Peach is a new one:

Teal was made up from the undamaged ends of Pink and Purple.

Last I heard (and it was some time ago) was that the damaged cabs were essentially unsalvageable, and they were going to have a new train built to the existing Mark VI specs, presumably from Bombardier.

Peach is not a "new" monorail. Rather, it consists of the damaged cab cars of Pink and Purple and the (completely or largely) undamaged center cars. Now, just how much is really new in this rebuilt train is yet to be fully revealed - at least the carbodies for the cab cars are new, probably with many new components (reportedly the cab cars may look and feel "new", though again in actuality they are the (more heavily damaged) sections of Pink and Purple). The coaches (center cars), though, appeared to be only slightly if at all damaged in the accident, so may have needed little work for monorail Peach.

Note that while the news report calls this a "new" monorail, the DisneyParks blog instead refers to this as an "additional" monorail train.

The destroyed cabs of Pink and Purple were put into a storage container. WDW had new cabs made to be attached on to cars 1 and 6.

Peach is all of Purple with the addition of 2 new operating cabs built from existing blueprints.

As others have mentioned, the undamaged cab of Purple replaced a destroyed cab of Pink and it was repainted Teal. If you look close you can still see Pink and Purple paint from the less that impressive paint job.

I actually rode the peach monorail (or what I think was peach) the other day i was there....i got really excied haha:cool1:
