Hi all! We'll be in the world in less than a week, and I have a question. We're planning to park hop, do MK in the morning and Epcot afternoon and evening. Can we take the monorail from MK directly to Epcot? I read one place that it does go directly there, and another place said that we'd have to take the MK monorail to the TTC and switch to another monorail to get to Epcot. Or would it be easier just to take the monorail from MK to the Poly or Contemporary and then head to Epcot from there? TIA!

Either way you have to take the Epcot monorail from the TTC to get to Epcot. So.... from MK you can take the "express monorial" from the MK to the TTC and switch to the monorail from TTC to Epcot. Or from the MK you could take the resort monorial which would stop at the Contemporary then the TTC at which point you would again switch to the monorail from the TTC to Epcot. clear as mud?? LOL.

So.... there are three monorial loops, one is the resort monorial, this one runs in a circle, MK, Contemporary, TTC, Polynesian, Grand Floridian and then back to MK. The other are "express, one from the TTC to MKand the other from the TTC to Epcot.

There is no direct monorail from either the resorts to Epcot or from MK to Epcot.

There are three monorails - two at the MK (one a resort loop that stops at all three resorts plus the TTC, the other an express directly to the TTC-Ticket and Transportation Center) and one from TTC to Epcot. Take the express to TTC, check the signs to get to the Epcot monorail. I don't remember if you have to walk down the ramp and back up the other side or if you can walk directly across to the Epcot monorail.

You have to switch monorails at the TTC, they are on separate beams. There is no bus service from any of the MK resorts to Epcot, you have to switch monorails at the TTC that's the only way unless you drive from the MK parking lot at the TTC. They run pretty often, it's no big deal. You do have to get off and go around the platform to get to the Epcot monorail.

From the Magic Kingdom, board the Express Monorail. First and only stop is the TTC. From there, follow the overhead directional signs to the Epcot Monorail (straight ahead... no ramps)

Should you board the Resort Monorail, take it to the TTC, and then follow the overhead directional signs to the Epcot monorail. (Down a ramp, then back up a ramp)

Thanks for all your help! Sounds like we can handle it.
