So I'm wondering how much time to give our family for a trip (in January).

1. I'm thinking of going from MK to Grand Floridian to make a 1900 Park ADR (610pm). (Monorail has 3 other stops first before Grand Floridian? Is it better to take monorail to TTC and then take bus and/or move the ADR to a different restaurant?)

2. and then monorail back (guessing 7:15pm) to catch the 8pm Wishes.

What do you think?

There's a boat that leaves from the Magic Kingdom dock that will take you to the Grand Floridian.

But either way, you should probably try and catch whatever transportation (boat or monorail) about 5:30.

Assuming the Monorail does not stop on the tracks for like a 1 or 2 minutes because of another Monorail already at the station it's about to go into, it should not be that long of a ride. However there is always a chance of this happening, so when it does it's totally random.

There is no bus from the TTC to the GF.

The little launch (not the big ferry...look for signs that say GF-Polynesian) is the fastest if they are running and one is getting close. Otherwise I would take the monorail allowing plenty of time. If you arrive early, all the better in general.

If you take the monorail from the MK to GF, plan on about 20 minutes. From GF to MK it's about 5 mins. I would plan on taking the launch that serves the GF, the Polynesian and the MK. When we did the exact same thing a few weeks ago, we watched the 'gold' monorail leave the MK station, about 5 minutes later we boarded the boat to GF. As we pulled up to the GF dock, the gold monorail was leaving the Polynesian.
