Monorail from MK to EPCOT - How Late?

We have a 7:45 pm dinner reservation at Cinderella's Royal Table at MK. The park is scheduled to close at 7:30 pm. We are assuming we will be done eating by 8:30 to 8:45 PM. We were hoping to take the monorail back to Epcot then walk to our hotel (YC). Does the Monorail run that late at night? Are busses available if the monorail is down for the night?

Just trying to sort through this transportation stuff in advance.

Thanks for the help!

The monorails should be running. When the MK closed at 10 we took the monorail to EPCOT to get our car. EPCOT closes at 9.

If you want to walk to the YC from the Epcot main entrance, be sure you get to the gate before 9. In the past, CMs have been known to deny entry to folks at the front gate because "the park is now closed", even despite the explanation that the guests were staying at one of the International Gateway resorts.

If you get stuck at the front gate, it's a long bus ride to DD and back, because there is no transportation from the front gate to the IG resorts.

I'm not saying it's a smart thing for Disney to do this - only that I've seen it happen!

cigar95 has a good point. Also, if you were thinking of walking through Epcot to get back to YC, there's a good chance you may encounter Illuminations traffic that's either coming or going. As nice as the monorails are, in this particular situation I would opt for a bus going directly from MK to YC.

Have a great time! :)
