We are only 60 days away..Have mostly stayed at the POLY, this is our first time at BC. One concern is the buses, so wondering if anyone has ever gone to Epcot then taken the monorail to MK..Does this make sense? Thanks..

1 - It's a very long walk.
2 - you need hopper tickets to do this.
3 - you would have to wait until Epcot opens to do this.
4 - I would just take the bus, it's fine. We always take the bus from BC/BCV to the Magic Kingdom and never have had any problems.

Sometimes we might take the monorail BACK and go through Epcot, but only because we want to stop in Epcot for some reason.

I agree with everything Vicki said. It is really not a good option.

It can be fun if you visit often and have a sense of adventure as well as park hoppers, as we often do.

If you are looking to get from one place to another expeditiously, it's a bad idea.

Funny, We wondered the same. we just booked POLY, but BC was our other option. I knew it wouldn't be fast, but wondered if anyone does it.

I agree completely. We often walk through Epcot to take the monorail to the MK, but take the bus if we are on a time schedule.

We've stayed at the BC many times and haven't had any trouble with the buses to the parks.

We stay at the Epcot resorts so we've done it, but only because we wanted to do a favorite ride or 2 in Epcot before heading to the MK. The bus will be faster and a lot less walking if you're main objective is to get to the MK quickly.

We stayed at BC last week and we did this on our day of arrival but we weren't on a time schedule. We walked thru and enjoyed the scenery of the flower show and we made okay time. We also took the bus one morning when we were on a tight schedule and DH thought it took longer, hahaha, later he wanted to leave both ways to see which way was faster. But the bus was faster.

Should I take the bus* from the Beach Club to the Magic Kingdom or go through EPCOT and use the monorail?

We always take the bus from BC to MK!

Bus is definitely quicker:
The ride is less than 15 minutes from BC to MK, then you just have to add in the wait. I think 15 minutes is the most I have ever waited for a bus, it is usually around 5 minutes.

Here is a very conservative estimate of the trip from BC-EP-mono-MK:
5 minute walk to International Gateway, bag check and entry at IG
walk though United Kingdom, Canada and Future World to EP front entrance, 25 min
wait for mono ?
mono from EP to TTC plus changeover to express monorail, 15 min
mono to MK, 5 min.

So a minimum 50 minutes, with a lot of walking, an extra bag check and switching monorails.

Please note: You need Park Hoppers and EPCOT must be open if you are doing this.

That being said, we often take the monorail back to the BC from MK. That way, we can enjoy a couple of attractions along the way, or get some takeout from Sunshine Seasons or one of the World Showcase restaurants on the way back to our room.

* even if you have a car on property during your trip, it probably makes sense to take the bus when you are traveling to MK. If you are driving, you will have to park at the TTC and take the monorail or ferry boat to the MK entrance. If you take a bus, you are delivered to the front entrance. A taxi cab is another option, but again, this will only bring you to the TTC, so you may want to have the cab leave you off at the Contemporary Resort and walk or take the monorail, or to one of the other monorail resorts.

We did it when we were there in Feb. We stayed at BWV tho. But we have APs so we can hop and we were actually going through Epcot so our boys could ride Spaceship Earth for the 10th time, lol. They love that ride. So it wasn't an unnecessary trek for us. But if you're just going to spend the day at MK, then I would take the bus. Enjoy your trip! :goodvibes

We have done it many times,BUT we are not in a rush to get to the MK. We do it generally on our last morning .

I asked almost the exact same question a few weeks ago--except we were in BWI instead of Beach club (right across the lake).

In the end, we just took the bus to the Magic Kingdom. It wasn't bad at all. Also, we ended up staying for EMH until almost 2 am, so at that point bus was our only option back.

Have fun! :)

I did it one time when I had a Soarin fastpass to use, then went to MK.
