Monorail & Early Entry Question

Considering staying at the Disneyland Hotel but just wondered if you can catch the monorail in the morning to get into the park in time for rope drop of early morning entry or does it start running later in the morning.

You can take the monorail into DL for early entry, however, you would need to be at or near the front of the line into the monorail queue so you get on the first ride into DL. From my observations you would likely be behind the initial wave of early entry rope droppers so if you are looking to ride Peter Pan first, I would not take the monorail in. If you are looking to ride Space Mountain, you would still likely be in good shape taking the monorail.
