Ugh...went to Flanigans tonight with DH...had 2 dirty martinis. ribs and chicken wings and now I am not feeling so hot!

Aidensmom-Would this younger man be named "Aiden" perhaps? LOL...as long as they can get married at WDW in about 20 years I'll start saving now. OF COURSE there will be an open bar!

lilygator-yesssss, I fondly reminisce about the days when my parents picked up the WDW bill. I know that face is supposed to be "rollseyes (sarcastic)" but in this case, that is the "fond rememberance" face!

I just read through this verrrry looong thread (well most of it anyway). MY DH and I thought we were alone in thinking of Disney as a party place but can see that we are surely not! Two of our favorite places to relax are in the lounge at the Prime Time Cafe and on a bench near the beer stand ourside the Rose and Crown. We like the lounge at PTC so much we normally eat at the bar rather than getting a table unless we have others with us. Please welcome us, Ann and Pat, into your group!

I read your post and said, geez, I could have written that. We love the Tune In Lounge at PTC and spent a couple of hours on that very bench by the Rose & Crown last October. What a great place to people watch!

To all: I've followed this thread for a while but decided to tackle the whole thing in one sitting. Well, I'm on page 33 or so and it's bed time. And since we leave for the World on Friday, I'm not sure I'll be able to finish before we go. Just wanted to let you all know, even though this is my first post on this thread, DH and I will not disappoint the LOTW's here on this board! The Monorail Drink-a-Thon is on our list of must do's. I'll report back with all the details!

I have to tell you, I'm so excited to go during Food and Wine fest!! I keep calling my parents to get them excited too - I have no idea what disneyworld they've been to, but I"m looking forward to 'educating' them!! I wanted to give my parents a heads up on costs - beer $5 Lapu Lapu $10, and I"m saving, I have a part time job, I want to 'enjoy' Disney - with no sarcastic remarks,

My mom says "You can buy beer at Disney?" "You can walk around Epcot with open beer?" You're sure?? I think I'd better save more money, your dad can drink alot of beer!"

Hey WLL, thanks for the welcome! Actually, we're staying offsite, as we have a timeshare at the Cape that we've never been to but use to trade to Orlando. We're within 5 minutes of Downtown Disney and can't wait to get there.

We'll be doing all four parks, not sure what days or in which order, but we have AP's, so even if we stop in for just a couple of hours, that's fine with us. Anyways, that leaves more time to check out the resort lounges!

I'll be sure to post all our "lush" experiences, probably beginning with Drinking Around the World in Epcot Friday night (well, at least a few of the countries).

eeyore-LOL about your folks! I am sure my parents would be in sticker shock...I think the last time they were in WDW was when they took me to the CR in 1974! well, I know they took us a few more times, but never staying on property. I really feel a need to get to Epcot for the F&W fest...I need to work on that. That way I can take DD to MNSSHP!

Hey psupple...that is what is great about the passes...just pop into and out of the parks as you please! I really enjoy walking around DTD also!

So, I can't remember if I asked this before... Must be the side effect of 4 weekends in a row with nothing but rain!

Has anyone been to the Brewer's Dinner at the F&W Fest? I know they dates don't open up until June/July and that last year it was on Wednesdasy. I've read the stuff on the info sites, but before I make up my mind on whether or not I wan to go, I'd like to try and get some first hand details.

lily-ummm, yeah, sure. You have to do 10 shots of your favorite booze in rapid succession while singing Disney tunes. Can you handle it? LOL!

BTW...is beachside in the panhandle? I am entertaining thoughts of moving to north FL.

MJ-Hopefully someone else can help ya. I have never been to WDW during F&W fest, although I plan to remedy that soon!

lillygator, there's no initiation needed.... people who discover our thread and join in are all welcome! however, we do trust that eventually everyone will do the monorail-drink-a-thon to make them a true LOTW

WLL, it's funny cuz I just ordered MNSSHP tix for 10/30 and we'll be doing F&W on 10/29... we're going for my birthday in Sept and our checkout date is 9/28... F&W starts 9/29... I asked DH if he just wanted to extend our vacation or just plan a separate weekend in Oct so we could go and he prefers a separate weekend so we can go again to WDW!!! Have I said how much I LOVE this man???? Last year we got so "happy" after F&W that I decided to stay at BWV this year in order to avoid another episode like last year's! We'll be able to stumble... I mean, walk to our room... Can't get hungover though cuz we're going w/DD to MNSSHP the next day and we must be sober and awake.

lindamary: You should start off at the Polynesians Tambu Lounge with a pina colada...it's the best pina colada I've ever had! When you get to the outer rim at contemporary order one of the drinks with the lite-up ice. Those always make for a good time
